Gets future deal with Detroit The Lions signed Gordon to a reserve/future contract Thursday.

Impact Gordon spent most of the regular season without a team before catching on with the Bears as a member of the practice squad in late December. With a future contract, the undrafted rookie out of Northwestern will be on the Lions' 90-man roster when the offseason officially kicks off Feb. 9, which will allow him to participate in OTAs and minicamp.

Returning to Windy City The Bears signed Gordon to the practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Impact Gordon joined the Bears in early August as an undrafted free agent but was unable to crack the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He'll return to Chicago as a member of the team's practice squad and provide additional depth at tight end.
