Browns rookie receiver Denzel Boston is making a major impact to fuel Cleveland's 3-1 start

Denzel Boston is off to a smashing start with the Cleveland Browns
3 DAYS AGO • Associated Press
Inactive, QB3 for Thursday night Green (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Steelers, though he will serve as the Browns' emergency quarterback.
Impact Green will be inactive for the fourth consecutive game but is listed as Cleveland's QB3. That means Green won't be on the field unless Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders exit the contest due to injury, illness or ejection.
OCTOBER 1 • ROTOWIRE
Emergency QB3 vs. Carolina Green (coach's decision) is inactive but serving as the emergency third quarterback against the Panthers on Sunday, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
Impact Because he's serving as the emergency QB3, the rookie sixth-rounder is prohibited from taking the field Sunday unless both starter Deshaun Watson and backup Shedeur Sanders were to leave the game due to injury, illness or ejection.
SEPTEMBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Emergency QB for Week 2 Green (coach's decision) is inactive as the emergency third quarterback for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
Impact Green will once again serve as the third option behind Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders. The quarterback can only enter the game if both players ahead of him cannot continue to play. The sixth-round rookie is likely set to fill this role for the remainder of the season unless either active option must miss time.

Inactive Sunday Green (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Jaguars.
Impact The rookie is serving as the emergency third option behind Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders, which means he can only enter the contest if the first two quarterbacks are injured, sick or otherwise unavailable. Green was selected in the sixth round of the draft out of Arkansas.

Role against Jacksonville still TBD Coach Todd Monken said Friday that he has not decided whether Green will have a package of plays for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan Cleveland repor...
Impact If Green was written into the Browns' offensive gameplan for Week 1, it would likely suggest he is second in line at quarterback behind veteran Deshaun Watson. If 2025 fifth-rounder Shedeur Sanders ends up with that role instead, Green's path to playing time gets harder to envision. If and when Green does get on the field, his size and speed (6-foot-6, 230 pounds, 4.36 40-yard dash) would certainly compel a defense to pay close attention.

Could be active Week 1 Coach Todd Monken said Monday that Green could be active and have a package of plays in Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Impact It's unclear if Green would be active as the QB2 over Shedeur Sanders or if Cleveland would make three quarterbacks active, but the idea is out there to get Green some plays after he showed off his elite athleticism with 66 yards on eight carries in the preseason finale. Green is big and athletic and set positional records at the combine back in February when he ran a 4.36 forty-yard dash with a 43.5-inch vertical and 11-foot-2 broad jump. There's an outside chance Green sees playing time as a rookie for a Browns team that is likely looking at another rebuild at the quarterback position.

Sticking around Cleveland Green has made the Browns' initial 53-man roster, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact Green was selected in the sixth round of this year's draft after finishing his college career at Arkansas in 2025. The quarterback saw limited action during the preseason, completing five of seven passes for 27 yards while also adding an eight-yard rush. The Browns placed Dillon Gabriel (back) on injured reserve with a designation to return Sunday, and Green will get a chance to serve as the team's No. 3 QB behind Deshaun Watson and Sanders in Gabriel's absence.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Chance to make 53-man roster The Browns would like to keep Green on the 53-man roster if they can fit him, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact Green is fourth on the team's quarterback depth chart behind Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. The mobile rookie sixth-round pick out of Arkansas is raw as a passer but has intriguing rushing upside. Cleveland would have to release one of the players ahead of Green or carry four quarterbacks to keep him on the roster, which could leave the Browns shorthanded in depth at another position.
