Picks up knee injury Moore suffered a knee injury during Sunday's 41-33 loss to the Cowboys, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Impact Moore exited early but was able to return and finish the game. However, this could affect his chances to play next week against the Cardinals. It's worth monitoring his practice capacity during the upcoming week because starting safety Jimmie Ward is in concussion protocol. Moore is the next man up if Ward can't go.

Slated to start Sunday Moore is expected to start at safety Sunday against the Patriots with Jimmie Ward (quadriceps) ruled out, Kelana Martin of the 49ers' official site reports.

Impact Moore has played almost exclusively on special teams this year, so his upcoming starting gig could be quite an adjustment. The third-year safety out of Southern Mississippi did start three games to begin the 2019 season and registered 14 tackles and a pass breakup.
