Impact Colts starting center Ryan Kelly missed practice Thursday and Friday due to a neck issue and has been ruled out for Week 4. Bortolini, a rookie fourth-round pick out of Wisconsin, will make his first NFL start.

Past toe issue Bortolini (toe) was left off the Colts' injury report Wednesday ahead of the team's Week 1 game against the Texans on Sunday.

Impact The rookie offensive lineman out of Wisconsin has been sidelined for the last couple of weeks due to a toe injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. Now that Bortolini is back at full health, he's expected to serve as one of the Colts' top backup offensive linemen in 2024.

Impact Bortolini didn't end up returning after the injury, but he said after the game that he doesn't think the issue will keep him out long, per Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star. The rookie fourth-round pick is expected to be a backup on the offensive line during his first NFL campaign.
