Impact Watts is among the first of what will be a slew of roster cuts for the Patriots, as next week's deadline to cut down to 53 players looms. The undrafted rookie out of Fort Hays State will work to secure work on a practice squad this season, whether with New England or elsewhere in the league.

Signs with New England The Patriots signed Watts on Tuesday.

Impact Watts went undrafted out of Fort Hays State earlier this year after producing a 223-1,344-13 rushing line across 11 contests last season. He also caught 41 passes for 449 yards and four touchdowns. Watts is already way behind everyone else in camp in terms of knowing the playbook, so it would be a shock to see him win a spot on the roster.
