Impact Scott cleared waivers before reverting to the Jets' injured reserve list and is now a free agent. The former linebacker can now seek out new teams to help out offensively, defensively or most likely on special teams as soon as he regains his health.

Moved to injured reserve Scott (undisclosed) reverted to the Jets' injured reserve Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Impact Scott was waived with an injury designation Sunday and did not get claimed by another team. As such, Scott has moved to the Jets' IR and will be required to sit for the entire 2026 season unless an injury settlement is reached.

Impact Scott never logged more than 100 carries or 12 receptions in a season through four years at Wyoming. The running back even played some snaps at linebacker early in his career, and he'll likely need to show off some special-teams skills as a gunner to make the 53-man roster.
