Impact Freeman was out-touched 15-9 by Darrell Henderson, with the gap in workload coming primarily due to the latter's work in the passing game. On the ground, Freeman was fairly efficient as he gained at least six yards on five of his carries. He also found the end zone just before halftime on a one-yard plunge. With Zach Evans (coach's decision) inactive and Myles Gaskin limited to special teams work, Freeman should see a decent role so long as Kyren Williams (ankle) and Ronnie Rivers (knee) are sidelined.

Impact Both Freeman and Henderson are set to go from the practice squad to the top two positions on the depth chart in less than a week, as the former was signed to the 53-man roster Tuesday while the latter was elevated Saturday. The two backs received the promotions after the Rams' top two options, Kyren Williams (ankle) and Ronnie Rivers (knee) both recently landed on injured reserve, keeping them out for at least the next four games. Schefter suggests that though Freeman is projected to be the Rams' likely starter, how he and Henderson are deployed could be determined by how the Steelers line up, as well as how both players fare in their initial opportunities. The Rams are also expected to keep rookie Zach Evans active as a third option, but the uncertainty of how the workload may break down among the position group makes Freeman a risky streaming option for Week 7. However, with both Williams and Rivers sidelined for multiple games, Freeman could at least make for an intriguing speculative stash if he's able to outperform Henderson against the Steelers and establish himself as the Rams' No. 1 option heading into the team's subsequent contests.

Though he's seen all 37 of his snaps on special teams in his three appearances, the veteran could have a role out of the backfield Sunday against the Steelers with both Kyren Williams (ankle) and Ronnie Rivers (knee) looking unlikely to be available. The Rams still have rookie sixth-round pick Zach Evans on hand as an option to lead the ground attack, but Freeman could rotate in and potentially handle passing downs. Stymied in finale Freeman rushed seven times for 15 yards and brought in one of two targets for one yard in the Broncos' 32-31 loss to the Texans on Sunday.

Impact Freeman was unable to take advantage of what had been an inconsistent Colts run defense, gaining nearly half his meager rushing yardage total on a seven-yard scamper and netting just eight yards on his other six totes. The journeyman back has appeared in 11 games with the Texans over the last two seasons and is on an expiring contract, and it remains to be seen if he'll have a chance to claim a complementary role behind the promising Dameon Pierce (IR-ankle) in training camp next summer.
