INJURIES

Records rare catch Sunday Anderson caught one of three targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Chargers.
Impact For the first time in his six-game Cardinals tenure, Anderson earned more than 40 percent of the snaps in back-to-back outings. He also recorded the first catch with his new club that netted a positive gain. With Marquise Brown returning to the lineup Sunday following a five-game absence, he and DeAndre Hopkins (14 combined targets) will dominate the looks from quarterback Kyler Murray moving forward, leaving Anderson to fend for scraps after the team's Week 13 bye.

Logs no targets in Week 11 Anderson wasn't targeted while playing 33 of 71 offensive snaps during Monday's 38-10 defeat to the 49ers.
Impact Anderson has been active for all five games since the Cardinals acquired him from the Panthers before Week 7, but he has just one catch for minus-4 yards on seven targets. His 46 percent snap share Monday was his second-most with his current squad, but despite injuries throughout the receiving corps, he has yet to make much of a mark. If Marquise Brown (foot) is able to return from IR for Sunday's contest versus the Chargers, there's a chance Anderson is a healthy scratch in Week 12.
NOVEMBER 22, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Back to sparse usage Anderson played just eight of 68 offensive snaps during Sunday's 27-17 win at the Rams.
Impact A Week 9 game in which he earned 82 percent of the offensive snaps aside, Anderson has ranged between 10 and 18 percent in his other three appearances (12 percent Sunday) with the Cardinals since his trade from Carolina. In those four contests, he's gathered in just one of seven targets for minus-4 yards on his new squad. With the team's top tight end Zach Ertz (knee) out indefinitely, Anderson could begin to mix in more consistently behind DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore, but rookie second-round TE Trey McBride may be the best bet to step into the No. 3 spot in the passing game as long as Marquise Brown (foot) is sidelined.

Records first catch as Card Anderson reeled in one of three targets for minus-4 yards during Sunday's 31-21 loss to the Seahawks.
Impact The veteran wideout didn't surpass an 18 percent share of the offensive snaps and was held without a catch on four targets in his first two appearances with the Cardinals after joining the team Oct. 17. He experienced a huge increase in usage to 83 percent Sunday, but he was rarely looked at by quarterback Kyler Murray, with Rondale Moore (10), Zach Ertz (eight), DeAndre Hopkins (five) and James Conner (five) all surpassing Anderson in targets. If the Cardinals continue to make a concerted effort to involve him, he might become a downfield threat, but for the time being Anderson appears to be struggling to get on the same page with Murray.
NOVEMBER 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Bigger role may be imminent Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday that he's hopeful Anderson will have a bigger role Sunday against the Seahawks, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports.
Impact Since arriving in Arizona from Carolina on Oct. 17, Anderson has played in both of the Cardinals' two games in the meantime, but his usage (19 offensive snaps) and target count (four) have yet to yield any production. Kingsbury specifically said the team will attempt to "force feed" him this weekend, but with wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore and tight end Zach Ertz taking on a huge portion of the available targets, Anderson still is waiting for his first catch with his new squad.
NOVEMBER 3, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Held without catch in Week 8 Anderson was targeted three times but didn't record a catch during Sunday's 34-26 defeat at Minnesota.
Impact Among the Cardinals' five available wide receivers, Anderson finished fifth in terms of offensive snap count (seven of 78). Through two games with Arizona since a trade from Carolina, Anderson doesn't have a reception on four targets, and without an injury or role change to one of the players in front of him, he currently doesn't have a clear path to regular work.
NOVEMBER 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Sparse usage with new team Anderson went without a catch on one target and played 12 of 66 offensive snaps during Thursday's 42-34 victory against the Saints.
Impact It marked Anderson's second matchup with the Saints this season, but it was the former Panther's first in a Cardinals uniform following his trade to the desert earlier in the week. With Marquise Brown (foot) and Antoine Wesley (hip) on injured reserve, Anderson mixed into the receiving corps behind DeAndre Hopkins (61 plays), Rondale Moore (59) and Greg Dortch (35) and ahead of A.J. Green (DNP). As he grows more accustomed to the playbook, Anderson may be able to usurp Dortch in the pecking order, but until he does his output may be sporadic or even nonexistent.

May play bigger role than expected Anderson may play "more than you'd expect" in his Cardinals debut Thursday against the Saints, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Following his trade from Carolina to Arizona on Monday, Anderson has had only two days to get up to speed with the Cardinals' playbook. While he initially was expected to get "15-to-20 snaps," per Rapoport, Anderson has acclimated quickly in his new home and could play a decent role Week 7. Anderson is helped by the fact that Marquise Brown (foot) is on injured reserve, but in any case the former will be a part of the team's options at wide receiver Thursday along with DeAndre Hopkins, Rondale Moore, A.J. Green and Greg Dortch.

Won't play much Week 7 Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday that Anderson's role will be a minor one if he plays in Thursday's game against the Saints, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Impact Anderson doesn't have much time to prepare after the Panthers traded him to the Cardinals on Monday, three days before his new team hosts the Saints. There's an opportunity ahead with Marquise Brown (foot) expected to miss extended time, but the safer bets for Week 7 targets in Arizona are wideouts DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore and tight end Zach Ertz.
