Caps strong season with quiet game
Anderson caught three of seven targets for 40 yards during Sunday's 33-7 loss to the Saints.
Impact
Anderson made a splash with his 31-yard long gain but managed just nine yards between his other two grabs. He was lost in the shuffle a bit in this one as DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel had big games, but he finishes the season with new career highs of 95 receptions and 1,096 yards to go along with three touchdowns. Anderson should maintain a large role next season -- especially if Samuel leaves in free agency -- and will look to improve upon his first campaign with the Panthers.

Week 17 Thursday Injury Report: Robby Anderson returns
The wideout practiced after sitting out Wednesday with a groin injury.

Puts in full practice
Robinson (groin) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Robinson went down as a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, though he was present for the session and sported a no-contact jersey while he worked out. According to Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site, Anderson ditched the jersey for the portion of Thursday's session that was open to the media, and his listing as a full participant on the official report implies he did in fact take contact in some capacity. With that, Anderson looks like he'll enter Sunday's season finale against the Saints without any restrictions.

Held out by groin injury
Anderson didn't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury.
Impact
Anderson was spotted wearing a red no-contact jersey at the start of the session, and after logging no reps whatsoever, he was listed with the groin issue on the Panthers' first Week 17 injury report. The fifth year of his career has been one of personal bests in terms of catches (92) and receiving yards (1,056), but Anderson only has three touchdowns on 129 targets. Anderson's status is now in question for Sunday's game against the Saints.

Wearing non-contact jersey
Anderson is donning a red no-contact jersey at Wednesday's practice, Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site reports.
Impact
Anderson handled his usual snap share during last weekend's win over Washington, securing seven of 10 targets for 39 yards and a score in the process. It's possible that the veteran wideout is simply receiving a day of rest, but Wednesday's practice report will reveal whether Anderson is dealing with any sort of injury.

Tallies third touchdown
Anderson recorded seven receptions on 10 targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Week 16 against Washington.
Impact
Despite plenty of opportunity, Anderson turned in an inefficient performance by averaging only 3.9 yards per target. He did manage to tally his third touchdown of the season on a 14-yard reception late in the second quarter, which was also his longest reception of the day. After this disappointing performance, Anderson will look to cap his career-best season with a strong effort in Week 17 against the Saints.

Limited to two catches in loss
Anderson brought in two of five targets for 21 yards in the Panthers' 24-16 loss to the Packers on Saturday night. He also netted minus-1 yard on his sole rush.
Impact
Anderson unexpectedly slumped to a season-low reception total while also tying his low-water mark in receiving yardage and targets in the eight-point loss. The speedster was consistently contained by the Packers' coverage-savvy secondary, which resulted in a particularly untimely dud for fantasy managers who've been benefiting from his strong production the majority of the season. Anderson will look to atone in a Week 16 battle against Washington on Sunday, Dec. 27, but that also presents as a difficult matchup when considering the Football Team enters its Week 15 contest allowing the third-fewest passing yards per game (206.3).

Posts 84 yards against Denver
Anderson reeled in eight of 12 targets for 84 yards during Sunday's 32-27 loss to the Broncos.
Impact
Anderson and Curtis Samuel (nine targets) served as the clear go-to options for Teddy Bridgewater, as DJ Moore (ankle) remained on the reserve/COVID-19 list for Sunday's tilt. Regardless of Moore's presence in the lineup, Anderson has been consistently posting viable fantasy numbers in 2020, surpassing his previous career high in receiving yards (941) by virtue of his Week 14 performance. A total of just two touchdowns has kept Anderson from the elite tier of the position, but a constant workload of 8.8 targets per game has helped him ascend into a Pro-Bowl candidate nonetheless. An upcoming matchup against Jaire Alexander and the Packers poses a challenge, with the Packers surrendering the second-fewest WR receptions on the 2020 campaign.
