Completes first season Blackshear appeared in 13 games during the 2022 season, rushing 23 times for 77 yards and three touchdowns and catching 10 of 12 targets for 93 yards.

Impact Blackshear also occasionally handled return duties, taking 19 kickoffs back for 513 yards and six punts for 55 yards. With his rookie campaign now complete, Blackshear will hope to make the Panthers' roster again next season and serve in a similar depth role.

Impact Blackshear made a big impact from his third-string role, helping seal the game with an eight-yard touchdown run during the fourth quarter. With D'Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard ahead of him, Blackshear's opportunities should remain limited going forward, but his efficiency Sunday could keep him involved with spare snaps in Week 15 versus the Steelers.

A little more than a month later, Blackshear played his first offensive snaps in the NFL, taking two carries for a loss of five yards in a 21-3 win over the Buccaneers in Week 7. He also has eight kick returns for 224 yards this season, and his role this Sunday could include a considerable amount of the work on passing downs. D'Onta Foreman is the likely starter and lead runner, after taking 17 touches for 145 yards in the win over Tampa Bay. Wilks said Spencer Brown may be called up from the practice squad to provide the team with a third healthy back this weekend.
