Reverts to IR Aumavae (Achilles) cleared waivers and reverted to injured reserve Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Impact Aumavae is still recovering from the Achilles tear he suffered last July. The Oregon product was waived by Carolina on Thursday, and since he's cleared waivers, he'll now move to the team's injured reserve.

Impact Aumavae was injured during training camp last season and spent the 2024 season on injured reserve in Carolina. The former undrafted free agent out of Oregon has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

Impact Aumavae linked up with Carolina after going undrafted out of Oregon earlier in the offseason, but the team has now decided to part ways with the 25-year-old. Assuming Aumavae clears waivers, he'll revert to the Panthers' injured reserve and miss the entire 2024 season unless an injury settlement is reached.
