Posts first career multi-TD game Gray gathered in four of five targets for 23 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 30-21 loss against the Bills.
Impact Gray didn't finish the day with a particularly standout fantasy line, but he did make the most of his targets in the red zone, collecting a pair of them in the end zone for his first career multi-touchdown effort. Gray played only two snaps fewer than Travis Kelce in Sunday's affair. He should continue to see regular reps in two-tight end sets and when Kelce needs a breather. That said, Gray's two touchdowns Sunday also marked his first two of the season, so this effort should be banked as more of an anomaly than an expected outcome moving forward.

Sees downturn in playing time Gray hauled in each of his two targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 16-14 win versus the Broncos.
Impact After a promising four-game stretch spanning from Weeks 4-8 that saw Gray post 13 catches for 158 yards, the fourth-year tight end has posted just two catches total over the past two games. Gray also saw a slight downturn in his playing time, logging just 39 snaps (57 percent) after crossing the 60-percent threshold in each of the last three games. Either way, Gray has yet to find pay dirt this season and is the clear No. 2 at tight end, so he's likely nothing more than a deep dynasty stash at this point.

No catches in win Gray didn't catch his lone target in Monday's 30-24 overtime win versus the Buccaneers.
Impact Gray has performed quite well this season as the No. 2 tight end behind star TE Travis Kelce, as the former has produced 17 receptions for 208 yards through eight games. He needs to find the end zone to have any fantasy appeal.

Season-high snap share in Week 8 Gray hauled in all three of his targets for 23 yards during Sunday's 27-20 victory against the Raiders.
Impact Gray continues to see significant work and has posted a combined seven catches for 89 yards over the last two weeks after compiling only 10 catches over the first five games to open the year. He's also seen a spike in playing time as the Chiefs run more two-tight end sets. Gray likely remains off the radar in most redraft formats but could be worth consideration in some dynasty formats as the heir apparent to the lead tight end role when Travis Kelce calls it quits.

Leading receiver on four targets Gray brought in all four of his targets for 66 yards in Sunday's 28-18 win over the 49ers.
Impact Gray finished as the Chiefs' leading receiver in a odd game that featured no passing touchdowns from either side. San Francisco keyed its defensive focus on limiting star tight end Travis Kelce (4-17-0), allowing the 25-year-old Gray to operate freely for his highest receiving total of the season. Fantasy managers should consider this a high-water mark for Gray so long as Kelce remains healthy, which the latter should be for next Sunday's tilt against the Raiders.

Claims two passes on MNF Gray gathered in both of his targets for 29 yards during Monday's 26-13 victory against the Saints.
Impact Gray saw his workload climb a bit Monday as the Chiefs ran more two-tight sets, and this could prove to be a theme moving forward with Hollywood Brown (shoulder) and Rashee Rice (knee) both done for the regular season and potentially beyond. Even if that's the case, Gray hasn't emerged as a major threat in the passing attack just yet, but he has reeled in 10 of 11 targets for 119 yards to date. Gray is likely fine to leave on waivers in most formats, but he could hold some small value in dynasty leagues as the probable heir to the starting role once Travis Kelce hangs up the cleats, signing a three-year contract extension prior to the season.
OCTOBER 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Posts season-best line in Week 4 Gray reeled in all four of his targets for 40 yards during Sunday's 17-10 win versus the Chargers.
Impact Gray's four grabs and 40 yards were high-water marks for the season. He played 32 offensive snaps in the contest, which is about on par with his previous work. The fourth-year tight could claim a heavier share of the snap pie moving forward following star wideout Rashee Rice's knee injury Sunday. Outside of veteran tight end Travis Kelce and rookie Xavier Worthy, the Chiefs will need some pass-catching options to step up. Gray's 4-40 line from Sunday at least displays a pulse in what otherwise was a struggling group behind Kelce and Worthy. Per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com, head coach Andy Reid plans to spread the ball around more widely moving forward. That could mean more work for Gray.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been instrumental in 3-0 start, even without his usual production

Just about everyone seems to be concerned about Travis Kelce’s production except the Kansas City Chiefs

Snares one pass in Week 3 Gray logged one reception (on two targets) for 13 yards during Sunday's 22-17 victory over the Falcons.
Impact Gray continues to operate in the second-string role at tight end behind Travis Kelce, playing 50 percent of the offensive snaps in Sunday's tilt. However, he only ran 14 routes in the game, which isn't particularly conducive to a sizable fantasy output. Barring Travis Kelce missing time, Gray isn't worth rostering in fantasy formats other than dynasty, where he could hold future value once Kelce calls it quits.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
No impression on Week 2 box score Gray went untargeted during Sunday's 26-25 victory over Cincinnati.
Impact On a more positive note, Gray still played 57 percent of the offensive snaps in the game, marking a slight bump from his playing time in the opener against the Ravens. Still, he's unlikely to compile worthwhile fantasy totals while serving in the second-string role at tight end, especially with an additional weapon available to Patrick Mahomes in rookie Xavier Worthy, and with second-year wideout Rashee Rice still gobbling up a hefty target share. Gray could enter the conversation a bit more should Travis Kelce miss some time.

SEPTEMBER 13, 2024 • CHIEFS.COM
Makes three grabs in Week 1 win Gray secured all three of his targets for 37 yards during Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens.
Impact Gray outperformed star tight end Travis Kelce, who had three grabs for 34 yards despite drawing one more target, during Kansas City's season opener. The 2021 fifth-round pick, who signed a three-year extension just prior to Thursday's game, played 54 percent of offensive snaps compared to Kelce's 89 percent, so he remains relegated to backup duties heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Bengals. Still, if Gray can continue looking solid in two-TE sets, he may emerge as a viable fantasy option in leagues that require multiple starting tight ends.
