Impact When reporters asked about Chubb's absence, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans simply responded, "we'll see as the week goes on." There was no clear sign of trouble during Sunday's 18-15 loss to the Broncos, with Chubb taking 11 carries for 34 yards while playing 36 percent of snaps on offense, including a 40 percent snap share and two carries during the fourth quarter. Woody Marks will likely get more playing time if Chubb isn't available Sunday against Jacksonville, but Dare Ogunbowale, Dameon Pierce and British Brooks could also mix in for a few snaps/touches.

Struggles in loss Monday Chubb rushed five times for 16 yards and caught one of three targets for a loss of five yards in Monday's 27-19 loss to Seattle.

Impact Head coach DeMeco Ryans proclaimed that he wanted to establish the run against the Seahawks, but he proceeded to give his veteran starter five carries in a game that was never quite out of reach. Chubb didn't do himself any favors, averaging a season-worst 3.2 yards per carry in the loss. Rookie Woody Marks (10-15-0) didn't fare much better on the ground, but he did catch C.J. Stroud's lone touchdown pass of the evening.
