He was brought in to compete with Tyler Heinicke for the No. 3 quarterback job, but Rourke struggled in Atlanta's 20-13 preseason loss to Miami, completing just three of 13 passes for 37 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, though he did add 24 rushing yards on two carries. Should he clear waivers, Rourke will look for an opportunity to catch on with a team in need of an emergency quarterback.
