Montorie Foster Jr. - NFL News, Rumors, & Updates

Back with Seattle on practice squad The Seahawks signed Foster to the practice squad Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Impact Foster earned a spot on the Seahawks' 53-man roster heading into the season. He was active for the team's win over the Patriots in Week 1, though he was inactive in the following contests until he was ultimately waived Saturday. Foster could be needed to suit up for Seattle before the end of the 2026 campaign. However, that doesn't mean he would see the field much.

Let go by Seattle The Seahawks waived Foster on Saturday.

Impact Foster has been a healthy scratch for the Seahawks since Week 2. The team decided to waive the wide receiver to make room for Anthony Bradford (knee) to return to the 53-man roster from IR. Foster played in one game for the Seahawks, logging six snaps on special teams for no box score output. The 25-year-old will now be subject to waivers, and if he clears, he will become a free agent and can sign with any organization.

One of five WRs to make team for Seahawks Foster is among the five wide receivers that made Seattle's initial 53-man roster, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Impact Foster earned his roster spot with a strong training camp that carried over into a productive preseason, which included a touchdown catch in Seattle's first preseason game. The 25-year-old wide receiver finished the previous season on Seattle's practice squad but has yet to appear in a regular-season game. Foster will likely be limited to a depth role barring injuries to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, Cooper Kupp or Tory Horton (undisclosed), the last of whom isn't believed to have a long-term injury.

Foster's strong preseason debut could help him in his quest to secure a depth role in a Seattle wide receiver room that also includes Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, Cooper Kupp, Tory Horton, Jake Bobo and Emmanuel Henderson. The 25-year-old Foster will look to keep building momentum in Seattle's second preseason game against the Titans on Aug. 23.

Signs with SEA practice squad The Seahawks signed Foster to the practice squad Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Impact Foster worked out with the Seahawks back in early November, but was not signed to the practice squad at that time. With the recent injury to Cody White (groin), the team may require a spare wide receiver as they head into their playoff run. The 24-year-old will be eligible for three elevations to the active roster before the Seahawks would need to ink a deal, signing him to the 53-man roster. With four to five potential games left, the team will need to be tactical with how they utilize Foster come game day.
