Increases practice participation Edwards (hamstring) participated in team drills during Thursday's practice session, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports. Impact Edwards has been dealing with a hamstring injury since late July, which kept him out of practice until Wednesday, when he participated in individual drills. He signed a one-year deal with the Bills in March after playing for the Chiefs in 2023, during which he accumulated 51 tackles (32 solo), including 1.0 sacks, five pass deflections, one interception, two fumble recoveries and one touchdown across 17 regular-season games. If he can return to full health for the Bills' regular-season opener against the Cardinals on Sept. 8, Edwards has a chance to start at free safety due to injuries to Damar Hamlin (hamstring) and Cole Bishop (shoulder).
