Shaping up to be game-time call Pittman had an "incident" with his toe in Thursday's practice, and the Colts will use the remaining time before Sunday's game against Minnesota to evaluate his status, per coach Fr...

Impact It sounds like Pittman will be a game-time decision after injuring his toe in practice Thursday. With Zach Pascal (ankle) practicing on a limited basis Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice entirely, the Colts are banged up at wide receiver behind top two options T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell. Should one or both of Pittman or Pascal sit out Sunday, special teams contributor Ashton Dulin could get a chance to play some offense.

Limited by toe injury Pittman was a limited participant in Thursday's practice due to a toe injury, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.

Impact Pittman may have picked up the injury at some point during the session; he didn't appear on the Colts' initial Week 2 report that was released Wednesday. The rookie wideout, who recorded two receptions for 10 yards in his NFL debut Week 1, will have one more opportunity to increase his level of practice activity Friday before the Colts assess his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Vikings.

Two receptions in NFL debut Pittman had two receptions for 10 yards on two targets in Sunday's 27-20 loss at Jacksonville.

Impact Pittman played on 39 of the offense's 74 snaps, which was just behind third receiver Zach Pascal (46 snaps). While the 2020 second-round draft pick didn't put up big numbers in his debut, Pittman could overtake Pascal for a larger role in the offense before too long.

Listed as No. 4 receiver Pittman is listed as the No. 4 receiver on the Colts' initial unofficial depth chart.

Impact T.Y. Hilton, Parris Campbell and Zach Pascal are listed as the top three starters. Pittman was seen getting reps with the first-team offense in training camp and it's thought he'll have a significant role at the start of the regular season, so Pascal's listing as the No. 3 receiver may be giving deference to a veteran. Still, it's unclear how quickly the Colts will integrate Pittman into the offense.

Uneven scrimmage performance Pittman dropped two passes in Saturday's scrimmage but also had three impressive contested catches, The Athletic reports.

Impact Pittman has been getting reps with the first-team offense in training camp and it's thought he'll have a significant role at the start of the regular season, even with an uneven performance in the scrimmage. Pittman could see significant snaps in Week 1 if Zach Pascal (hamstring) and Parris Campbell (concussion) are limited by injuries.

Encouraging signs in camp Pittman has been getting reps with the first-team offense early in training camp and has been building a rapport with Philip Rivers, The Athletic reports. Pittman has also been lea...

Impact It's not surprising that the 2020 second-round draft pick is working with the first-team offense, but his usage with the starters consistently so far in training camp is a sign everything is on track for him to have a sizeable role in the Indy passing game. Pittman is a complete receiver who can run the whole route tree and can win jump balls on the outside. He should immediately push for a starting role in three-wide sets.
