Wright's successful field goals came from 25, 42, 35 and 32 yards out, while his lone miss was a 59-yard try that ended the first half. Impact Wright will kick for Kansas City on Black Friday, as Spencer Shrader has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury. It will be the second game Wright has kicked in this season -- he was San Francisco's kicker in Week 6 against Seattle and converted all three of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries but hurt his shoulder and back and subsequently landed on IR. Wright has kicked for five teams in his NFL career, and this will be his second stint as a member of the Chiefs.

Impact Wright served as the 49ers' kicker in Week 6 against the Seahawks while Jake Moody (ankle) was sidelined. However, Wright suffered shoulder and back injuries during that game, and he was placed on injured reserve prior to San Francisco's Week 7 contest. Once Wright has recovered from his injuries, he'll look to catch on with a team in need of kicking depth, likely on the practice squad.

Considering Moody is expected to be out about one month, Carlson presumably will get a few chances to serve as the 49ers' regular placekicker.

Impact Wright was forced to miss a second straight practice to open the week as he tends to shoulder and back injuries. The kicker injured himself making a tackle in San Francisco's win over the Seahawks in Week 6 and his availability for Week 7 is now in question. Wright will look to return to practice Friday, but if he can't go Sunday against Kansas City, Anders Carlson will likely be elevated to the active roster in his place. Typical starter Jake Moody (ankle) was also unavailable for Thursday's session and seems unlikely to go in Week 7.

Jake Moody -- who is the 49ers' primary kicker when healthy -- is still recovering from a high-ankle sprain and isn't likely to be ready to return Sunday against Kansas City. San Francisco has former Packer Anders Carlson on the practice squad in case neither Moody nor Wright is able to play Week 7.

He was spotted getting examined by a member of the 49ers' staff afterward, but the nature of the injury wasn't known until coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media Friday, when he told Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com that Wright dislocated his shoulder. Wright likely will focus on rehab versus practice in advance of the Week 7 showdown with the Chiefs, but the 49ers seemingly aren't in the market for a third kicker in three games after Jake Moody suffered a high-ankle sprain Week 5.
