Inks contract Schreck signed a reserve/future contract with the Texans on Tuesday.
Impact Schreck spent his first four seasons with Chicago before landing in Houston during the offseason. Although he did not earn a spot on the Texans' 53-man roster during training camp, he did sign to their practice squad and ultimately saw action in two regular-season games. The 29-year-old recorded six yards on two receptions during that time. He will look to make an impression with the team during the offseason and potentially earn a bigger role in 2023.

Reverts to Houston's practice squad Schreck reverted to the Texans' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Impact Schreck played 10 offensive snaps in Houston's Week 15 overtime loss to the Chiefs. That usage ranked a distant third behind Teagan Quitoriano (51 snaps) and Jordan Akins (30 snaps) among Texans tight ends, and Schreck unsurprisingly wasn't targeted.

Returns to practice squad Schreck reverted to the Texans' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Impact Schreck was elevated from the practice squad for the second game in a row Sunday, as starting tight end Brevin Jordan (ankle) remained sidelined against Jacksonville. As a result, the 28-year-old played the second most offensive snaps (24) amongst the Texans' tight ends behind O.J. Howard and ahead of Jordan Akins in Week 5. Schreck will now be eligible for one more gamed-day activation while on Houston's practice squad this season.
OCTOBER 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Elevated for Week 5 The Texans elevated Schreck on Saturday from their practice squad to their active roster for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Impact With Brevin Jordan (ankle) still out, Schreck will get another look on the active roster after catching his only target for zero yards during his season debut in Week 4. The fifth-year tight end figures to garner a similar role while operating behind O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins against Jacksonville in Week 5.

Lands back on practice squad Schreck reverted to the Texans' practice squad Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Impact Schreck was elevated from Houston's practice squad for the first time this season after signing with the team in late August. With Pharaoh Brown (hip/shoulder) and Brevin Jordan (ankle) both inactive Week 4, the 28-year-old played 19 of his team's 57 offensive snaps behind tight ends O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins. Schreck ultimately hauled in his lone target for zero yards, and he will be eligible for two more gamed-day activations while with the Texans this season.

Scores game-winning TD Schreck caught both of his targets for 13 yards, notching an 8-yard touchdown in Friday's preseason win over the Rams.
Impact Schreck snagged a throw along the back edge of the end zone for Houston's game-winning score with just over a minute left in the game. That Schreck was on the field in the final minutes is an indication he's not in line for the team's final roster. Houston has three incumbents at tight end and drafted a fourth in the fifth round of the 2022 draft, so Schreck will need factors beyond his control to move up the depth chart.

Stays on practice squad Schreck cleared waivers Sunday and signed with the Bengals' practice squad, Tyler Dragon of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact Schreck played in eight games for the Bengals over the past two seasons but was never targeted. The 2017 seventh-round pick couldn't beat out Drew Sample or Cethan Carter for a depth role behind C.J. Uzomah, so he'll look to fine-tune his craft on the practice roster.
SEPTEMBER 10, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Fails to make final cut Schreck was waived by the Bengals on Saturday, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Impact Schreck saw action in two games for the Bengals in 2019, failing to secure a fantasy-relevant stat while adding 19 special team's snaps. He'll likely look for a depth role or practice squad spot elsewhere around the league, as the Bengals will roll with C.J. Uzomah, Drew Sample and Cethan Carter at tight end to start 2020.
