INJURIES

Set to hit restricted free agency Callaway failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 10-7 loss versus the Panthers.
Impact Callaway suited up for the regular-season finale after being ruled a healthy scratch in three of the previous seven games. However, his season-low eight offensive snaps was still the fewest of any Saints wide receiver Week 18. The third-year wideout previously served as one of the team's top pass catchers when Michael Thomas (toe), Jarvis Landry (ankle) and Chris Olave (concussion) were all sidelined in mid-October. However, Callaway then was crowded out with Olave available for all but one of the final 11 games and undrafted rookie Rasheed Shaheed stepping up into the No. 2 receiver spot over the second half of the season. Any additional targets were largely eaten up by No.1 tight end Juwan Johnson. Callaway finished the 2022 season with 16 receptions (on 32 targets) for 158 yards and one touchdown while adding 25 punt-return yards over 14 games. The 6-foot-2 wideout now is set to enter the 2023 offseason as a restricted free agent, leaving his future with the Saints up in the air.
JANUARY 9 • ROTOWIRE
Healthy scratch again Callaway is inactive for Sunday's game in Philadelphia.
Impact Callaway was the team's No. 2 receiver at one point earlier this season and got some snaps last week with Chris Olave sidelined by a hamstring injury, but this isn't the first time Callaway has been a healthy scratch. Olave is back in this week, and likely joined by Rashid Shaheed and Tre'Quan Smith as the lead trio at wide receiver. Callaway thus loses out to Kirk Merritt and Keith Kirkwood, both of whom seemingly offer more special teams value.
JANUARY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Targeted once in loss Callaway did not haul in his lone target during Monday's 17-16 loss versus the Buccaneers.
Impact Callaway has fallen out of the Saints' wide receiver rotation, as he's now seen just two total targets while being a healthy scratch twice in the last four weeks. While he appeared to have a chance at a bigger role after Kevin White was waived last Monday, Callaway wound up playing just two more offensive snaps in Week 13 than core special-teamers Tre'Quan Smith (11) and Kirk Merritt (11), the latter of whom was just elevated from the practice squad. Rashid Shaheed has seen his playing time increase in each of the past four games, squeezing both Callaway and Smith out of the offensive game plan.
DECEMBER 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play Sunday Callaway (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the 49ers.
Impact Callaway was also a healthy scratch Week 10, and although he suited up Week 11 against the Rams, he only saw one target, which he caught for a six-yard gain. He'll now work to be active Week 13 against the Buccaneers.
NOVEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
One catch in return Callaway reeled in his only target for six yards during Sunday's 27-20 win versus the Rams.
Impact Callaway saw a minimal role in the Saints' resurgent passing game Week 11. The 6-foot-2 wideout did not benefit from quarterback Andy Dalton's best passing stat line of the season, as he was targeted fewer than three times for just the second game in his last seven appearances. Callaway also tied his lowest number of offense snaps played (21) from this span. After being ruled a healthy scratch with veteran wideout Jarvis Landry back in the lineup Week 10, Callaway appears set to play a deep supporting role so long as New Orleans' receiving corps remains healthy moving forward.
NOVEMBER 21, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Healthy scratch Sunday Callaway (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday at Pittsburgh.
Impact With Jarvis Landry (ankle) back in the lineup, Callaway is taking a seat for the first time this season. His absence will open up targets not only for Landry, but fellow wide receivers Chris Olave, Tre'Quan Smith, Kevin White and Rashid Shaheed. Callaway's next chance to mix into the Saints offense arrives next Sunday against the Rams.
NOVEMBER 13, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Commands five targets Callaway recorded three receptions on five targets for 24 yards in Monday's 27-13 loss to the Ravens.
Impact Callaway continued to command targets in the absence of Jarvis Landry (groin), as he has now earned at least five looks in four of his last six games. However, as has typically been the case, Callaway did little with the opportunity. His longest reception went for only 12 yards, and he has now failed to surpass 36 yards in any of his last five games.
NOVEMBER 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Minimal role in win Callaway gathered in his only target for 10 yards on 21 offensive snaps during Sunday's 24-0 victory over the Raiders.
Impact Callaway logged his fewest offensive snaps, targets and receptions since Week 3, even though Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) remained out Sunday. The 6-foot-2 receiver caught 10 of his 22 targets for 114 yards over the previous four weeks, but he tied for sixth in targets in this contest, and he also played fewer offensive snaps than fellow wideouts Tre'Quan Smith (38), Chris Olave (37) and Kevin White (30). Callaway's diminished role may indicate that he's fallen down the team's WR depth chart, which doesn't bode well for his target share heading into next Monday's game against the Ravens.
OCTOBER 31, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Limited to pair of grabs Thursday Callaway secured two of six targets for 20 yards in the Saints' 42-34 loss to the Cardinals on Thursday night.
Impact Callaway had a forgettable night overall despite the continued expanded opportunity afforded by the absences of Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle), as his drop led to the first of two late-first-half pick-sixes of Andy Dalton. Callaway finished tied for third on the team in targets and now has at least six in three of the last four games. However, that's led to single-game highs of just three catches and 53 yards, and if one or both of Thomas and Landry are healthy enough to return in the Week 8 matchup against the Raiders on Oct. 30, Callaway's role could certainly shrink.
OCTOBER 21, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Steps up into No. 1 spot Callaway caught three of seven targets for 36 yards during Sunday's 30-26 defeat against the Bengals.
Impact Callaway paced the Saints' wide receiver corps in targets and offensive snaps with starters Michael Thomas (foot), Jarvis Landry (ankle) and Chris Olave (concussion) all out due to injury Sunday. However, the 24-year-old still finished third on the team in receiving yards behind Tre'Quan Smith (43 yards) and tight end Juwan Johnson (41 yards). With primary returner Deonte Harty (foot) on IR, Callaway also fair caught one punt while splitting those duties with undrafted rookie Rashid Shaheed. Callaway now has played at least 72 percent of New Orleans' offensive snaps in each of the last three games, recording eight receptions (on 16 targets) for 94 yards during this span. He again figures to see increased playing time if Thomas and/or Landry remain sidelined Thursday against the Cardinals.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Starting role on tap again Callaway and Tre'Quan Smith served as the Saints' top receivers during walk-through drills ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Impact After handling 96 and 72 percent snap shares in Week 4 and 5, Callaway looks primed for a similar level of playing time Sunday. Fellow wideouts Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) are sidelined for their third and second game in a row, respectively, while rookie first-round pick Chris Olave is inactive after he was unable to clear the concussion protocol. Additionally, the Saints are without another depth wideout in Deonte Harty (foot), who was recently moved to injured reserve. Of the five receivers who are active for the Saints this week, Callaway and Smith have combined for 12 of the 13 receptions the quintet has recorded this season.
OCTOBER 16, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Handles punts in win Callaway caught two of his three targets for five yards and returned two punts for 25 yards during Sunday's 39-32 win over the Seahawks.
Impact With Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) both inactive Sunday, Callaway wound up playing the most offensive snaps (56) of any Saints wideout, as Chris Olave was forced out with a concussion in the third quarter. However, the 24-year-old Callaway made his biggest impact on special teams after stepping in for primary punt returner Deonte Harty, who exited early with a turf toe injury. Callaway fielded five punts, including three fair catches, and had a 21-yard return in the third quarter. The 6-foot-2 pass catcher could stand to see increased usage in New Orleans' banged-up receiving corps moving forward, though the team will likely continue to lean into its running game with Alvin Kamara, Taysom Hill and Mark Ingram.

Steps up into starting role Callaway caught three of his six targets for 53 yards during Sunday's 28-25 loss to the Vikings.
Impact After failing to haul in his lone target during the first half, Callaway caught all three of his passes on the Saints' opening drive of the third quarter. The third-year pass catcher also recorded his team's longest play from scrimmage with a 33-yard reception down to Minnesota's eight-yard line. Callaway played the most offensive snaps (58 of 60) of any Saints wide receiver with Michael Thomas (foot) ruled out Week 4, as fellow starters Chris Olave (41) and Jarvis Landry (38) were both limited to under 68 percent of the team's snaps on offense due to a bone bruise and ankle issue, respectively. Callaway finished behind Olave for the second-most targets from backup quarterback Andy Dalton, and he may retain a starting role so long as Thomas remains sidelined.

Notches late-game score Callaway caught a four-yard touchdown on his lone target over 13 offensive snaps during Sunday's 22-14 loss to Carolina.
Impact Callaway made the most of his limited offensive opportunities Week 3, as he hauled in a pass for a score from quarterback Jameis Winston with just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. However, the third-year wideout played his fewest offensive snaps in a game the season, as Tre'Quan Smith made his 2022 debut before exiting with a concussion. Callaway also appeared on six special-teams snaps against the Panthers, though he could see a bigger role Week 4 after starting wideouts Michael Thomas (toe) and Jarvis Landry (foot) both picked up injuries this past weekend.

Active Sunday Callaway may the Saints' return man Sunday against the Panthers, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Impact Callaway was seen fielding punts during warmups. The team's usual return man, Deonte Harty, is a healthy scratch. This is a role Callway had at times during his rookie season with the team, but had not carried over since.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Not targeted once again Sunday Callaway did not record a reception while going targetless during Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Buccaneers. He also played 17 offensive snaps and four special-team snaps.
Impact Callaway failed to make an impact as a receiver for the second straight week while lining up on the fourth most offensive snaps among the Saints' receiving corps Sunday. Though fellow wideout and return specialist Deonte Harty played fewer offensive snaps (11), he still managed to haul in his lone target for nine yards and finished as New Orleans' only wide receiver outside of starters Michael Thomas, Chris Olave and Jarvis Landry to record a reception against Tampa Bay. Nevertheless, Callaway's overall snap share seems to suggest that he should continue to vie with Harty for the team's No. 4 receiver spot as Tre'Quan Smith continues to deal with a nagging shoulder injury.
