Signs pact with Pittsburgh The Steelers signed Wentz to a contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Impact Wentz was initially signed by Seattle as an undrafted free agent in May, but he was waived last week. The Kansas product will now get a look in Pittsburgh. He'll be a longshot to make the season-opening roster, but it's nonetheless a favorable situation for Wentz given the Steelers' lack of experienced wideouts behind DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman.

Let go by Seattle Wentz was waived by the Seahawks on Monday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Impact Wentz signed with the Seahawks in early May after going undrafted, but it now appears the team has decided to move in another direction. The 6-foot-2 wideout appeared in 10 games during his final collegiate season at Kansas, catching 16 of 33 targets for 258 yards and two touchdowns.

Impact Wentz began his collegiate career with Old Dominion before transferring to Kansas. As a senior with the Jayhawks, he tallied 16 catches for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Wentz is 6-foot-2, 205 pounds and is a former defensive back who plays with plenty of physicality. He may need some time to further develop as a wideout, making him a longshot to open the season on Seattle's NFL roster.
