Rams put LT Whitworth, S Rapp, K Forbath on injured reserve
The Los Angeles Rams have placed 38-year-old left tackle Andrew Whitworth on injured reserve with injured ligaments in his left knee

Limited to begin week
Wright (ankle) was a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Impact
Wright was able to battle through an ankle sprain in this past Sunday's loss to the Rams, as he played 97 percent of the snaps on defense and logged six tackles (five solo). He avoided a setback, too, and he'll take it easy in practice this week but should be fine for Thursday's game against the Cardinals.

Able to rebound for Week 10
Wright (ankle) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Rams.
Impact
The one-time Pro Bowl linebacker seemed to have a bleak outlook for this NFC West showdown late in the practice week, sitting out both Wednesday and Thursday because of his recent ankle injury. Coach Pete Carroll remained optimistic, however, implicating that the veteran still had a chance to go against Los Angeles despite a curtailed practice workload. Wright, in fact, has powered through the issue, and he will make his ninth start of the season against a Rams team that ranks No. 6 in the NFL in total offense.

Trending in right direction
Wright (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Impact
Wright sat out of practice Wednesday and Thursday, but coach Pete Carroll believes there's a "really good chance" the veteran linebacker suits up Sunday, according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. That's an encouraging sign, but he'll likely be monitored over the weekend because the Seahawks likely won't take any risks with a Thursday night game against Arizona around the corner. If Wright's health takes a turn and he's forced to sit out, Cody Barton would be next up at strong-side linebacker.

Listed as non-participant Wednesday
Wright (ankle) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Despite coach Pete Carroll saying earlier in the week that Wright "bounced back well" from an ankle sprain he suffered against the Bills, the veteran linebacker was listed as DNP on Wednesday's report. He's trending in the wrong direction to start the week, but a return to the practice field by Friday would be a step in the right direction. Cody Barton is on standby and will start at strong-side linebacker if Wright is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Rams.

Injury downplayed
Coach Pete Carroll said Wright (ankle) bounced back well during Monday's practice after suffering an ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the Bills, John Boyle of the Seahawks' officia...
Impact
This is encouraging news for Wright's chances to play this week against the Rams. Wright has been excellent for the Seahawks this season, producing 42 tackles, a sack, six pass breakups and an interception through eight games. We'll have a better idea of Wright's status when the team releases its first injury report of the week Wednesday. Cody Barton is expected to start at strong-side linebacker if Wright misses any time.

Suffers sprained ankle
Wright exited Sunday's loss to the Bills with a sprained ankle, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact
Wright finished the game with two tackles and a sack, and he left in the second half. Coach Pete Carroll didn't have an update on the severity of Wright's injury, so we may need to wait until practices start Wednesday to get clarity on his condition. If Wright's forced to miss any time, Cody Barton likely would take over as the starting strong-side linebacker.

Records INT in win
Wright recorded three tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery in Sunday's 27-26 win over the Vikings.
Impact
Wright excelled in coverage yet again, reeling in his first interception of the season and setting up the Seahawks to score on the next play. The veteran linebacker also iced the game by recovery a Kirk Cousins fumble at the end of the fourth quarter. The tackle count has been a bit flaky this year with three games of four or fewer stops and two games of eight or more, but he's finding other ways to pad his stats this year.

Back to work Thursday
Wright (illness) was a full participant during Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact
Wright missed practice Wednesday with a non-COVID-19 related illness, and as evidenced by this news, he's shaken the ailment off. With Dalvin Cook and the Vikings coming to town Sunday, Wright will be leaned upon heavily to slow down the run offense now that he's healthy.

Unable to practice Wednesday
Wright (illness) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Impact
There's no indication that this is related to COVID-19, but it's worth monitoring nonetheless. Wright was fantastic in Week 4 against the Dolphins, stopping screen passes behind the line of scrimmage and breaking up three passes. With Dalvin Cook and the Vikings coming to town Sunday, Wright will be critical in shutting down check-down passes and a commanding run offense.

Outstanding in Week 4 win
Wright recorded eight tackles, three pass breakups and a forced fumble in Sunday's 31-23 win over the Dolphins.
Impact
Wright put together his best game of the season, consistently sniffing out screen passes and nearly intercepting a pass in the first half. The 31-year-old linebacker has stepped up admirably with a good chunk of the secondary, including Jamal Adams (groin), out of the lineup, and with 17 tackles over the last two contests, he's a solid IDP play as well.

Hits double-digit tackles Sunday
Wright made 10 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 38-31 win over the Cowboys.
Impact
After handling limited workloads over the first two games of the season, Wright played every snap against the Cowboys and predictably made a major impact. With Bruce Irvin (torn ACL) out for the season and Jordyn Brooks (knee) expected to miss time, Wright has virtually no competition for reps at outside linebacker moving forward. Coming off a career-high 132 stops in 2019, Wright is a solid IDP play in Week 4 against the Dolphins
