Impact King started 42 games for the Packers in five years but hasn't played since 2021 due to multiple devastating injuries. It looks like the 2017 second-round pick is getting a chance to prove he's worth a roster spot, but Kendall added that the Falcons may still be in the market for a free-agent cornerback, mentioning Xavien Howard, Stephon Gilmore, Adoree' Jackson and J.C. Jackson are all still available.

Impact King, who sat out the 2022 season for personal reasons and then missed 2023 due to a torn Achilles that sustained during an offseason workout, will now look to secure a role in the Falcons' secondary after last seeing game action in 2021 with the Packers. During that campaign, the 2017 second-rounder recorded 29 tackles and a pick in 10 regular-season outings (six of which were starts).

Impact King played out the 2021 campaign on a one-year, $5 million contract, and while he still had a role in Green Bay's defensive backfield, he saw a major reduction in playing time from the season prior following the additions of rookie first-round pick Eric Stokes and free-agent pickup Rasul Douglas. Now headed for free agency, King could be bound for a change of scenery for the first time in his career.
