Absent from injury report
Green did not appear on the injury report Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Impact
Green exited Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Bengals with what appeared to be a significant knee injury. However, his absence from the injury report clears him of any such concern, and he should return to his role as the Steelers' starting center in Week 4 against the Packers.

Injury might not be too serious
Green (knee) might not have suffered an injury as serious as originally expected, according to Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com.

Takes first-team reps
Green took first-team reps at center during the first day of training camp workouts Thursday, Joe Rutter of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Impact
Green was selected by the Steelers in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and coach Mike Tomlin said Thursday that the rookie will start at center during the Hall of Fame Game. Pittsburgh lost several offensive linemen during the offseason, so the 22-year-old could serve as the team's Week 1 starting center if he impresses during training camp and preseason games.

Necessary addition to Pittsburgh line
The Steelers selected Green in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, 87th overall.
Impact
Pittsburgh finally addresses the interior offensive line after spending its first two picks on skill-position players. The Steelers have several needs up front, so Green could be ticketed for playing time early. He played both left guard and center during his time at Illinois, starting 33 games in three seasons.
