Inks reserve/future deal The Bills signed Johnson to a reserve/future contract Monday, Chris Brown of the team's official site reports.
Impact Johnson caught 36 passes for 360 yards over the first two seasons of his career with Arizona. The 26-year-old then was waived ahead of the 2021 season, and he spent time with numerous teams over the past two years before landing with the Bills' practice squad Oct. 11. Johnson, who hasn't appeared in a game since 2020, now will look to carve out a reserve role with Buffalo heading into the 2023 campaign.
JANUARY 23, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Signed to practice squad Johnson signed with the Bills' practice squad Tuesday.
Impact Johnson spent some time with Atlanta during training camp but failed to earn a spot on the 52-man roster. The 26-year-old receiver hasn't played in an NFL matchup since 2020, during which he logged eight receptions for 173 yards through eight games.

Waived by San Fran Johnson was waived by the 49ers on Monday.
Impact Johnson inked a futures deal with San Francisco after spending the majority of last year on Philadelphia's practice squad. However, he once again finds himself a free agent heading into the regular season. The 2019 sixth-round pick caught 36 of 65 targets across his first two seasons in Arizona, but he hasn't seen NFL action since.
AUGUST 15, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Sees return action Johnson caught his lone target for two yards while seeing action on punt returns in Friday's preseason win over the Packers.
Impact Johnson will have to earn his way into a crowded receiver room in San Francisco this season. The 23-year-old could find his way onto the 53-man roster if he can prove his worth as a return specialist (seven yards on one punt return Friday).
AUGUST 13, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Brock Purdy Lobs Alley-Oop to KeeSean Johnson for Two-Point Conversion San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy connected with wide receiver KeeSean Johnson for a successful two-point conversion.
AUGUST 13, 2022 • 49ERS.COM
Headed back to practice squad Johnson reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Impact Johnson was active for Sunday's wild-card round loss due to the absence of J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (finger). He was on the field for 18 total snaps --16 of which came on special teams -- but he did not record a stat.
JANUARY 18, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Elevated by Philadelphia The Eagles elevated Johnson to their active roster Saturday.
Impact Johnson spent the entire 2021 campaign on the Eagles' practice squad but will join the active roster for Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Buccaneers. He's unlikely to play a significant role in the postseason opener.
JANUARY 15, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Restored to practice squad The Eagles activated Johnson (undisclosed) from the practice squad COVID-19 list Wednesday.
Impact Johnson landed on the practice squad COVID-19 list Friday but will rejoin the team after less than a week of isolation. He hasn't yet appeared in a game this year.
JANUARY 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Hits practice squad COVID list Johnson was put on the Eagles' practice squad COVID-19 list Friday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Impact Johnson has been on the Eagles' practice squad since Sept. 1 but hasn't seen any game action this season. Whatever chance he had to move up to the active roster during the regular season took a hit with his move to the COVID list.
JANUARY 1, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Heading to Philly Johnson signed to the Eagles' practice squad Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Impact The 2019 sixth-round pick spent camp with the Cardinals but was let go Monday, and he'll now receive a look with the Eagles. Johnson appeared in 18 games for Arizona over the past two seasons and caught 36 passes for 360 yards and one touchdown.
SEPTEMBER 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Cut loose by Cards The Cardinals let go of Johnson on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact The 2019 sixth-round pick started five of his 18 games the past two seasons, catching 36 of 65 targets for 360 yards and a touchdown. Johnson hans't shown any explosiveness as a wide receiver, and he's played just 11 career snaps on special teams.
AUGUST 30, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Back from COVID-19 list The Cardinals activated Johnson (undisclosed) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact Johnson returns to the practice field alongside fellow wideouts Andy Isabella and Isaac Whitney. With A.J. Green and Rondale Moore having bolstered Arizona's wide receiving corps, and the likes of DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk already established on offense, Johnson is competing for what looks like sparse depth opportunities.
AUGUST 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Moved to COVID list The Cardinals placed Johnson (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Impact Currently, the Cardinals have four wide receivers on this reserve list, including Andy Isabella (undisclosed), Rico Gafford (undisclosed) and Isaac Whitney (undisclosed). It's unclear if any or all of them have tested positive for the virus, but their respective number of days away from the team will be indicative of their situations. Despite Larry Fitzgerald moving on this offseason, Johnson is even further down the depth chart, as Arizona added A.J. Green and Rondale Moore to a receiving corps that also includes DeAndre Hopkins (undisclosed) and Christian Kirk.
JULY 30, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Another quiet season Johnson finished the 2020 season with 15 catches (on 23 targets) for 173 yards and no touchdowns in eight appearances.
Impact Johnson was a healthy scratch for eight of the Cardinals' first 10 contests of the campaign, but a positive COVID test and injuries to the receiving corps allowed him to get on the field down the stretch. Tossing aside his two longest catches of the season -- 45 and 32 yards -- his other 13 receptions went for a miserable 7.4 YPC and 4.6 YPT. A 2019 sixth-round pick, Johnson has two years remaining on his rookie deal, but the presence of DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk -- along with the possibility Larry Fitzgerald returns and potential for offseason additions -- doesn't guarantee Johnson anything heading into the offseason.
JANUARY 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Set to be No. 2 WR in Week 17 Johnson is in line to serve as the Cardinals' No. 2 wide receiver for Sunday's road game against the Rams with Larry Fitzgerald (groin) and Christian Kirk (undisclosed, reserve/COV...
Impact After making just two appearances through Arizona's first 10 contests of the season, Johnson has received a varied snap count in five consecutive games, leading to a 10-131-0 line on 13 targets. Behind DeAndre Hopkins, Chase Edmonds and tight end Dan Arnold, reps and passes from Kyler Murray still will be available for Johnson, Andy Isabella and Trent Sherfield. Considering his recent workload, Johnson should lead that trio, but his career mark of 5.5 yards per target doesn't project significant production.
JANUARY 3, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
On pace for more work Johnson is slated for a larger role in the Cardinals offense Sunday against the Rams after Christian Kirk (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Darren Urban of the...
Impact While he was inactive for eight of the first 10 games of the campaign, Johnson has had a modest role in the offense over the last five contests, hauling in 10 of 13 targets for 131 yards during that span. With Kirk out of the picture Week 17 and Larry Fitzgerald (groin) seemingly poised to join him on Arizona's list of inactives, Johnson could bump all the way up to the No. 2 receiver alongside DeAndre Hopkins. Still, in Johnson's 17 career appearances, he's averaged just 5.5 yards per target, so he may be hard-pressed for a notable performance Week 17, even if he experiences a decent increase in volume.
JANUARY 3, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Posts career-high 50 yards Johnson caught two of three passes for 50 yards during Saturday's 20-12 defeat to the 49ers.
Impact Johnson did most of his damage on a 45-yard bomb late in the third quarter, which was the Cardinals' longest play of the game. He otherwise was quiet on his 20 snaps on offense behind DeAndre Hopkins (75 of 82), Larry Fitzgerald (71) and Christian Kirk (68). Having said that, Hopkins suffered an upper-body injury during the game and Fitzgerald's recent practice reps were capped due to a groin issue, so the state of Arizona's receiving corps is in some flux.

DECEMBER 26, 2020 • YOUTUBE
Posts season high in yards Johnson totaled two receptions (on three targets) for 38 yards during Sunday's 33-26 victory against the Eagles.
Impact The Cardinals made Andy Isabella a healthy scratch for a second straight game, going instead with Johnson as the fourth wide receiver behind DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald. Johnson's 32-yard catch at the end of the first half was Arizona's fourth-longest play of the contest, but he otherwise was quiet on 20 other offensive plays. Assuming he's available on game days, his lack of snaps and targets don't give much hope for production on a weekly basis.
DECEMBER 22, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Records one catch Week 14 Johnson reeled in one of two passes for nine yards during Sunday's 26-7 road win versus the Giants.
Impact With Larry Fitzgerald back from the reserve/COVID-19 list, the Cardinals opted to make Andy Isabella a healthy scratch, which allowed Johnson to work as the No. 4 wide receiver behind DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and Fitzgerald. The top trio earned between 72 and 84 percent of the plays on offense, while Johnson was limited to 24 percent and Trent Sherfield to six percent. Only Johnson got into the act among those two, but a nine-yard catch on such a small snap share is nothing to write home about.
DECEMBER 15, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Makes four catches Sunday Johnson hauled in all four targets for 27 yards during Sunday's 38-28 defeat to the Rams.
Impact With Larry Fitzgerald (illness) out for a second straight game, the Cardinals operated with four wide receivers on the majority of snaps Week 13. The development allowed Johnson to work with DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and Andy Isabella, and he finished second on the team in catches and third in receiving yards. There's no telling when Fitzgerald will be ready to be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, so Johnson may continue to play a large role in Arizona's offense Week 14 versus the Giants.
DECEMBER 8, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Makes rare appearance Johnson made a seven-yard catch during Sunday's 20-17 defeat in New England.
Impact The Cardinals were shorthanded at wide receiver due to Larry Fitzgerald (illness) and Trent Sherfield (undisclosed) residing on the reserve/COVID-19 list. As a result, Johnson got on the field for the first time since Week 5 and almost made the most of his nine offensive snaps. On a short catch-and-run near the goal line before halftime, he was ruled to have broken the plane, but upon a review the play was reversed, and he was credited with the aforementioned grab. If Fitzgerald and/or Sherfield can't make it back to the active roster for Sunday's contest against the Rams, Johnson again may serve as the No. 4 WR behind DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and Andy Isabella.
