Reaches injury settlement The Lions cut Sutherland (undisclosed) from IR with an injury settlement on Friday.

Impact Sutherland had been placed on IR due to an undisclosed injury Aug. 14, but now that he's reached an injury settlement he'll be eligible to sign elsewhere and play in the 2025 season, once healthy. He played for the Birmingham Stallions during the 2025 UFL season.

Impact Sutherland suffered an undisclosed injury during the Lions' joint practice with the Dolphins on Wednesday, per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com. By being moved to the Lions' IR, Sutherland will be forced to miss the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Detroit. Keaton hasn't played in a regular-season game since 2021 with the Bengals.

Impact The Jets worked out multiple offensive linemen after sustaining a number of injuries to their O-line in Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Jets. Sutherland spent time with the Texans during training camp but was placed on IR with an abdomen issue before being waived with an injury settlement Sept. 4.
