Tagged as questionable vs. Minnesota Blackmon (shoulder) is listed as questionable against the Vikings on Sunday, Emily Leiker of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Impact Blackmon was limited in practice all week due to a shoulder injury, which he likely picked up during the Saints' loss to the Falcons this past Monday. His status for Sunday's game may not known until the Saints announce their list of inactive players about 90 minutes before the 1:00pm ET kickoff. Jonas Sanker would be the top candidate to start alongside Justin Reid at safety if Blackmon is not cleared to play.

Dealing with shoulder injury Blackmon (shoulder) was a limited practice participant Thursday.

Impact Blackmon has played every defensive snap for New Orleans so far this season, but he appears to have hurt his shoulder in Monday's loss to Atlanta. With a pair of limited practices under his belt to begin Week 5 prep, Blackmon has a chance to suit up Sunday versus Minnesota, though he may enter the weekend with an injury designation if he's not able to practice in full Friday.

Tallies 10 tackles in loss Blackmon logged 10 tackles (five solo) in the Saints' 45-24 loss to the Falcons on Monday.

Impact Blackmon played all 57 of the Saints' defensive snaps in the blowout loss. Despite a long night for the defensive unit, the free safety tallied four more tackles than the next closest Saints defenders (Tyree Wilson and Jonas Sanker).

Dealing with shoulder issue Blackmon (shoulder) was estimated as a limited participant at practice Wednesday.

Impact The Saints only held a walk-through practice to start the week, and the precise nature of the injury is unclear, but the estimation suggests it's probably nothing too severe. If he can practice in full Thursday or Friday, he might be able to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend altogether.

Upgrades to full Friday Blackmon (calf) was a full participant in Friday's practice.

Impact Blackmon was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. The free safety's ability to practice fully Friday is a great sign that he has recovered from his calf injury. If Blackmon can practice fully again Saturday, he should be able to avoid any injury designation ahead of Monday night's game against the Falcons.

OCTOBER 2 • ROTOWIRE

Limited by calf injury Blackmon (calf) was a limited participant at the Saints' practice Thursday.

Impact Blackmon is dealing with a calf injury to open the week, forcing him to be limited at Thursday's session. The safety will have two more opportunities to log a full practice prior to Monday night's matchup with Atlanta.
