INJURIES

Involvement continues to fade Wilkins registered three yards on his lone carry, adding a four-yard catch during Sunday's 44-27 win against the Raiders.
Impact With Jonathan Taylor suffering a minor ankle injury Week 8 against the Lions, Wilkins picked up the slack by coasting to 113 scrimmage yards and a touchdown over 21 offensive touches. Given Taylor's continued ascendence in subsequent weeks, including three straight outings of 90-plus rushing yards, Wilkins' involvement has steadily deteriorated over the latter half of the season. He'll continue to serve as a third-string option behind Taylor and Nyheim Hines Week 15 in a matchup against Houston's 31st-ranked rush defense.
DECEMBER 16, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Lowest yardage since Week 6 Wilkins rushed five times for 12 yards and caught both targets for six yards in Sunday's 26-20 win over the Texans.
Impact Jonathan Taylor started the divisional contest, and Wilkins garnered just three touches in the first half. Wilkins finished with fewer than 20 yards from scrimmage for the first time since Week 6, while Taylor erupted for 135 yards (91 rushing, 44 receiving) and a receiving score. Meanwhile, Nyheim Hines produced 32 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. With Taylor finally producing like a second-round talent, the rookie could cement himself as the lead back for Indianapolis moving forward. If that's the case, Wilkins is merely an insurance policy for fantasy purposes.

Totals nine touches Wilkins carried the ball six times for 22 yards in Week 12 against the Titans. He added three receptions for 35 yards.
Impact Wilkins worked as a complement to Nyheim Hines but was out-touched 18-9 in the absence of Jonathan Taylor (illness). Game script likely had a lot do with that, as the Colts battled from three scores down for the entirety of the second half. A rib injury briefly forced Wilkins out of the game, but he was able to re-enter the contest, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reported. Even so, Wilkins performed admirably as a receiver, logging a 21-yard reception early in the first quarter. He could see more work in a Week 13 matchup against the Texans if Taylor remains sidelined.
NOVEMBER 30, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Bump in workload expected Wilkins could see his workload increase after Jonathan Taylor was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday,
Impact Wilkins will likely operate as the between-the-tackles option in lieu of Taylor's absence, but it's worth pointing out Hines was a critical factor in the Week 10 win over the Titans, eviscerating opposing linebacker Jayon Brown (now on IR with an elbow injury) to the tune of 115 total yards and two touchdowns. It's possible Wilkins and Hines could essentially split the team's offensive snaps, although it's clear coach Frank Reich has never been afraid to rely on the hot hand at running back. Wilkins played over 50 percent of the offensive snaps just once this season; a Week 8 matchup against the Lions which saw the bruising back tally 20 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown.
NOVEMBER 28, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Just four carries Sunday Wilkins had four carries for 21 yards and one reception for 15 yards on his lone target in Sunday's win over Green Bay.
Impact Wilkins played on just nine snaps on offense compared to 46 for Jonathan Taylor and 29 for Nyheim Hines. Taylor had 22 carries for 90 yards in a needed resurgent performance. Taylor may get the bulk of carries next week against Tennessee, but it's been a guessing game each week for how much each running back will be used in three-back committee.

Has 28 yards rushing in win Wilkins had eight carries for 28 yards in Thursday's win over Tennessee. He played on 14 of the offense's 70 snaps, compared to 17 snaps for Jonathan Taylor and 39 snaps for Nyheim...
Impact Taylor got the starting assignment at running back, but the backfield was again a time share with Hines getting the most snaps after a few big plays. With Taylor failing to secure the majority of playing time after given the chance after Marlon Mack was injured, the Indy backfield remains unclear how playing time will be divided heading into Week 11.

Paces team in carries Wilkins rushed 11 times for 39 yards and secured both targets for minus-1 yard in the Colts' 24-10 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
Impact A week after logging a season-high 20 carries, Wilkins once again led the backfield in rushing touches, although without much consistent success versus a tough Ravens defense. Wilkins does seem to have the trust of coach Frank Reich, which is an optimistic sign for his fantasy prospects. Wilkins will hope to continue seeing the same level of opportunity while splitting time with Jonathan Taylor in a Week 10 Thursday night battle against the Titans.

Deemed full practice participant The Colts listed Wilkins (groin) as a full participant on Thursday's estimated practice report.
Impact Indianapolis held a walk-through session Thursday, but Wilkins looks like he would have been available to take every rep had the team held a traditional practice session. Now that his health apparently isn't a concern heading into Sunday's game against the Ravens, Wilkins will hope to earn a greater share of the carries out of the Indianapolis backfield after he outperformed starter Jonathan Taylor in last week's win over Detroit. With Taylor being limited to 22 yards on 11 carries in the contest, coach Frank Reich leaned more heavily on Wilkins, who rewarded the faith with season-high 89 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Wilkins also turned his lone target of the day into a 24-yard reception.
NOVEMBER 5, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Limited at practice Wednesday Wilkins (groin) was limited at practice Wednesday.
Impact Jonathan Taylor (ankle) was also limited, but we'd be surprised if either player missed this weekend's game against the Ravens. Wilkins came out of nowhere in this past Sunday's win over the Lions, carrying 20 times for 89 yards and a TD, while Taylor -- who started the contest -- ran the ball 11 times for 22 yards. Meanwhile, Nyheim Hines handled the bulk of the team's chance-of-pace touches, hauling in three of his five targets for 54 yards and two TDs. While Taylor continues to carry the highest long-term fantasy value of the three, Wilkins' strong effort versus Detroit could earn him a bigger share of the team's carries than usual in Week 9.

Thrives in workhorse role Wilkins carried 20 times for 89 yards and a touchdown while turning his only target into a 24-yard catch during Sunday's 41-21 win over the Lions.
Impact Wilkins had received just two carries over the previous two games but got more of a look in this one due to the struggles of rookie Jonathan Taylor, who generated just 31 yards on his 13 touches. He averaged a much more respectable 4.5 yards per carry and converted a one-yard touchdown a single play after Taylor was stuffed from the same distance. Nyheim Hines also scored a pair of touchdowns in this one, so the team's backfield picture has become quite unclear heading into next Sunday's tough matchup with the Ravens.

Just one carry Sunday Wilkins lost a yard on his only carry and didn't make a reception on the only pass targeted his direction in Sunday's win over the Bengals.
Impact With the Colts needing to make up a large deficit early in the game, Indy turned to the passing game and Wilkins was largely out of the game plan. Wilkins had just four snaps on offense with Nyheim Hines getting 21 snaps. Wilkins gets more playing time when the Colts need someone to give Johnathan Taylor relief when running the ball, with Hines more involved in the passing game.

Will play vs. CIN Wilkins (calf) is active Week 6 against Cincinnati.
Impact Wilkins was trending in the wrong direction after missing practices Thursday and Friday, but he'll ultimately end up suiting up for the home matchup. Even though Wilkins will play, expect him to concede most early-down work to Jonathan Taylor, with Nyheim Hines in line to see his regular responsibilities on passing downs.
OCTOBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable after missed practices Wilkins (calf) didn't practice Friday and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Impact Wilkins missed the last two practices after getting in a limited session to start the week Wednesday, suggesting he could be leaning toward an absence Sunday. If Wilkins can't go, receiving back Nyheim Hines should see more change-of-pace rushing work behind Jonathan Taylor.
