Vikings may already have the training camp hero nobody saw coming The Minnesota Vikings have a crowded receiver battle, and Jeshaun Jones could force a difficult decision near the bottom of the roster.

Reverts to PS, inks future deal Jones reverted to the Vikings' practice squad Monday and signed a reserve/future contract with Minnesota.

Impact Jones was elevated to the Vikings' active roster for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Packers, when he played seven snaps on special teams and returned two punts for five yards in a 16-3 win. It was the first regular-season appearance for Jones since he entered the league as an undrafted free agent in April of 2024. He's stuck around with the Vikings' organization since joining the league and will participate in offseason activities with the hope of earning a spot on the active roster for 2026.

Elevated for Week 18 The Vikings elevated Jones from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers.

Impact Jones will draw his first elevation of the season in Week 18. With Myles Price (ankle) ruled out ahead of the divisional contest, Jones will slot in as the No. 5 wide receiver behind Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Jalen Nailor and Tai Felton. Price is also the only listed punt returner on the Vikings' depth chart, so Jones could potentially see snaps at the position if it is not dominated by Ty Chandler or Felton.

Impact Jones cleared waivers after being let go by Minnesota on Tuesday, and he will now open the 2025 campaign as a member of the team's practice unit. The wide receiver spent the 2024 season with the Vikings' practice squad, but he didn't appear in any contests.
