Takeaway magnet in Saturday's win
Kearse recorded three tackles (two solo) and added an interception and a fumble recovery in Saturday's win over the Eagles.
Impact
The Dallas defense generated four takeaways in total, and Kearse led the way with a pick on the first play of the second quarter and a recovery of a Gardner Minshew fumble late in the third, with both turnovers setting up Cowboys touchdowns. Kearse won't match the triple-digit tackles he piled up last season, but his 67 (and counting) in 2022 is the second-best total of his career, and the veteran safety remains a key part of an aggressive and opportunistic defense.

Looks poised to play Sunday
Kearse, who appeared to suffer a left leg injury in pregame warmups was announced as a starter in the Dallas secondary ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans, Michael Gehlken of...
Impact
After requiring assistance to the locker room less than an hour earlier, Kearse was back on the sideline ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff in full uniform and was seen walking under his own power. Per Todd Archer of ESPN.com, Kearse is okay and appears set to play Sunday, though Dallas will have Israel Mukuamu ready to go at safety if Kearse is unable to finish the contest.

Impact
Kearse had been on Dallas' Week 14 injury report due to a shoulder concern, but a lower-body issue looks to be the cause of his early exit during warmups. Dallas may not provide an update on Kearse's condition prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, so fantasy managers in IDP leagues looking to deploy the safety in lineups are likely best off going with another option. Israel Mukuamu is the most likely candidate to replace Kearse as a starter in the Dallas secondary.

Cleared for Week 14
Kearse doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against the Texans.

Back on injury report
Kearse (shoulder) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact
Kearse was limited to start Week 13 prep due to a shoulder injury as well, but he still suited up and played 59 defensive snaps. Barring a setback, the Cowboys' starting safety should be available again in Week 14.

Seven stops Week 13
Kearse recorded seven solo tackles and one pass defended in Sunday's 54-19 victory versus the Colts.
Impact
Kearse played his typical share of the Cowboys' defensive snaps despite missing each practice during Week 13 prep with a shoulder injury. The 28-year-old also finished with the team's third-most tackles behind cornerback DaRon Bland (eight) and fellow safety Donovan Wilson (eight). Kearse came close to forcing his first fumble of the season by jarring the ball free from wideout Alec Pierce late in the fourth quarter, but this initial ruling of a fumble was overturned. Kearse has put up consistent stats when healthy, logging 54 tackles, two sacks and two passes defended over nine games, and he'll once again look to run roughshod over a dismal Texas offense Week 14.

Suiting up in Week 13
Kearse (shoulder) is active for Sunday's contest versus the Colts.
Impact
A shoulder injury didn't allow Kearse to log a full session during Week 13 prep, with all three practice reports listing him as a limited participant. Still, the issue won't stop him from suiting up Sunday, when he'll be aiming to add to his 47 tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery in eight previous appearances on the campaign.

Questionable but expected to play
Kearse (shoulder) is listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Colts, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Kearse was listed as a limited participant during each practice in Week 13 prep due to a shoulder injury, but per Machota, the defensive back will still suit up despite a questionable designation. Across eight appearances, the veteran safety has totaled 47 tackles, two sacks, one pass defense and one fumble recovery.

Picks up shoulder issue
Kearse was limited during Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder issue, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Kearse recorded five tackles across 48 defensive snaps during the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day win over the Giants, but he presumably picked up a shoulder injury as well. The extent of the issue remains unclear, but the starting safety will have two more opportunities to log a full practice before the team needs to make a decision on his status for Sunday's primetime matchup against the Colts.

Leads team with five tackles
Kearse recorded five tackles (four solo), including one sack, and one pass defensed in Sunday's 40-3 win over the Vikings.
Impact
It's unheard of when a player leads his team with five stops, but that's just what Kearse did in Sunday's contest against Minnesota. Perhaps due to the lopsided score, the 28-year-old was the only Dallas defender to play every single defensive snap this past weekend. Kearse will look to maintain his prominent role in the Cowboys' secondary when the team hosts the Giants on Thanksgiving.
