Lands on IR Tufele (hand) was placed on the Jaguars' injured reserve Friday.

Impact Tufele suffered a broken hand in warmups of the Jaguars' win in Week 6 and he just recently underwent hand surgery. The defensive tackle is expected to miss an extended period of time, while offensive lineman K.C. McDermott was activated to Jacksonville's active roster to replace Tufele. Expect DaVon Hamilton to take on an even larger role for at least the next few weeks.

Undergoes surgery Coach Urban Meyer said Monday that Tufele recently underwent hand surgery, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Impact Tufele sustained a broken hand in warmups ahead of the Jaguars' Week 6 win over the Dolphins, and Meyer expects that the defensive lineman will return in a few weeks. The 2021 fourth-rounder has played just 13 defensive snaps to begin the season.

Hurts hand in warmups Tufele suffered a hand injury during pregame warmups and is questionable to appear in Sunday's game against the Dolphins in London.

Impact Tufele avoided the inactive list and will dress for the contest, but because he sustained the injury in warmups, it's unclear if he'll be available at any point. The rookie nose tackle made his NFL debut in the Week 5 loss to the Titans, playing 13 snaps and recording no tackles.
