Assuming he clears waivers, Bean could remain in Indianapolis as a member of the Colts' practice squad.

The Kansas product competed against Sam Ehlinger in training camp for the No. 3 quarterback job behind Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco. Across three preseason games, Bean completed 15 of 19 passes for 197 yards, one touchdown and one interception while adding 53 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. He injured his shoulder on his one-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter of the Colts' preseason finale against the Bengals on Thursday. If he clears waivers, Bean could be invited back by Indianapolis to be on the practice squad, or he could look to take his talents elsewhere.

Injures shoulder Bean suffered a shoulder injury in Thursday night's preseason win over the Bengals, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Impact Bean was injured while running for a one-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter. He was unable to return after visiting the blue medical tent. Prior to exiting, Bean completed all four of his passes for 52 yards and rushed three times for 15 yards and the aforementioned score. Kedon Slovis was the fourth Colts quarterback in the game after Anthony Richardson, Sam Ehlinger and Bean. Joe Flacco did not play.
