Impact The 24-year-old wideout joined the Steelers' practice squad in mid-September, but it now appears the team has decided to move in a different direction. Jenkins has yet to appear in an NFL game after recording a 27-404-6 receiving line in his final collegiate season at LSU in 2022.

Rejoins Pittsburgh's practice squad The Steelers re-signed Jenkins to the practice squad Tuesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Jenkins spent time with Pittsburgh during the preseason, and he'll now rejoin the team as an emergency depth option. The 2023 UDFA out of LSU is still searching for a chance to make his regular-season debut.

Impact Jenkins missed all of 2023 after he reached an injury settlement with the Jaguars in September due to an undisclosed injury. He signed with the Steelers in June to compete for a depth spot at wide receiver. Jenkins caught four passes on five targets for 44 yards across three preseason games, but it wasn't enough for him to stick around on Pittsburgh's 53-man roster. He could be invited back to the Steelers' practice squad if he isn't claimed off waivers by another team.

However, even if Jenkins is left off the 53-man roster, he could make a case for a role with the team's practice squad.
