INJURIES

Out indefinitely O'Shaughnessy was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain Monday and will be out indefinitely, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Impact O'Shaughnessy was operating as the Jaguars No. 1 tight end to start the season. He caught one pass for 26 yards before leaving Sunday's contest. Chris Manhertz and Luke Farrell are likely to see increased roles while the 29-year-old is sidelined.

Injures ankle Sunday O'Shaughnessy (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Broncos, Hays Carlyon of 1010 AM WJXL Jacksonville reports.
Impact O'Shaughnessy caught one pass for 26 yards before suffering an ankle injury in the first half of Week 2. If he is unable to return, expect Chris Manhertz and Luke Farrell to see extended snaps the rest of the game.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Operates as No. 1 tight end O'Shaughnessy started Sunday's 37-21 loss to the Texans and caught six of eight targets for 48 yards.
Impact The 29-year-old was expected to open the season as Jacksonville's No. 2 tight end after Chris Manhertz signed during the offseason, but O'Shaughnessy had a strong showing in the preseason to earn the starting nod. Manhertz did manage a touchdown on his lone target, but O'Shaughnessy played 80 percent of the offensive snaps and benefitted from the Jaguars facing a 24-point halftime deficit (Trevor Lawrence attempted 51 passes on the day). Regardless, it was an encouraging level of production for O'Shaughnessy after finishing 2020 with 28 receptions for 262 yards and zero scores while operating in a reserve role.

Strong finish to preseason O'Shaughnessy caught all three of his targets for 27 yards during Sunday's preseason win over the Cowboys.
Impact O'Shaughnessy played only 13 offensive snaps but was encouragingly a regular target of rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the first quarter. The 29-year-old tight end wasn't targeted in either of the first two exhibition contests, so it was a welcome sight to see some production with the first-team offense. O'Shaughnessy appears to be Jacksonville's top pass-catching tight end but is likely No. 2 on the depth chart, while Chris Manhertz, who signed as a free agent in March, should enter Week 1 versus as the starter, though Manhertz is more of a blocking specialist.

AP source: Jags trade oft-injured Oliver to Ravens for pick

A person familiar with negotiations says the Jacksonville Jaguars have traded oft-injured tight end Josh Oliver to the Baltimore Ravens for a conditional pick in 2022

Re-ups in Jacksonville O'Shaughnessy re-signed with the Jaguars on Wednesday, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Impact O'Shaugnessy handled the No. 2 tight end role for the Jaguars last season behind Tyler Eifert, averaging 31 snaps per contest while recording a 38-262-0 line across 15 contests. Eifert is now a free agent, but the Jaguars signed tight end Chris Manhertz to a two-year, $7.25 million contract Tuesday. O'Shaughnessy looks poised to play second fiddle once again, though the expected addition of quarterback Trevor Lawrence should elevate the Jacksonville offense as a whole.
MARCH 17, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
One catch Week 17 O'Shaughnessy caught his lone target for 10 yards during Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Colts.
Impact The 28-year-old played only five fewer snaps than starter Tyler Eifert, but much like the rest of the season, neither tight end was significantly involved in Jacksonville's passing game. O'Shaughnessy caught 28 of 38 targets for 262 yards and zero touchdowns in 15 games this season as Jacksonville's secondary tight end, and he'll become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
JANUARY 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Two more receptions O'Shaughnessy caught two of three targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 41-17 loss to the Bears.
Impact The 28-year-old played 26 offensive snaps as the No. 2 tight end and had his typical production. O'Shaughnessy should finish the season in much the same role in Week 17's game at Indianapolis.
DECEMBER 29, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Catches two passes O'Shaughnessy caught both targets for 14 yards during Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Titans.
Impact The 28-year-old tied and set season highs with four catches for 41 yards on six targets Week 13, but he played a minor role in the passing game Sunday. O'Shaughnessy should continue to operate as Jacksonville's secondary tight end and won't be on the fantasy radar while in that role.
DECEMBER 14, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Totals 41 yards O'Shaughnessy caught four of six targets for 41 yards during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
Impact The 28-year-old had a 24-yard reception on the first play of the game, which nearly equaled his yardage total from the previous three games combined. Mike Glennon delivered 13 targets to the Jaguars' tight ends Sunday, with Tyler Eifert having a team-high six receptions. O'Shaughnessy remains Jacksonville's secondary tight end and doesn't offer much fantasy potential, but he could have a bigger role down the stretch if Glennon continues to rely on the position.
DECEMBER 7, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Catches two passes O'Shaughnessy caught two of four targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 27-25 loss to Cleveland.
Impact The 28-year-old wasn't involved in the passing game until the fourth quarter, when he was targeted four times on the final drive. O'Shaughnessy played 24 of 65 offensive snaps and should remain Jacksonville's secondary tight end as long as Tyler Eifert avoids injury.
NOVEMBER 30, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Suiting up Sunday O'Shaughnessy (knee) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Browns.
Impact O'Shaughnessy will return to action after a one-game hiatus. With Tyler Eifert (concussion) also ready to go, O'Shaughnessy figures to operate as the No. 2 tight end again. He presents limited fantasy value with just 16 receptions for 156 yards and no touchdowns through nine games.
NOVEMBER 27, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play Sunday O'Shaughnessy (knee) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Steelers, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Impact O'Shaughnessy's knee injury will force him to miss his first game of the season. The backup tight end's absence could provide a slight increase in targets for Tyler Eifert (shoulder).
NOVEMBER 20, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting out practice O'Shaughnessy (knee) didn't suit up in Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury.
Impact It's unclear how O'Shaughnessy suffered the injury, as he played at least 40 percent of offensive snaps in all nine games this season, including last week's loss to Green Bay. The fact that the veteran tight end missed practice completely is evidence that the issue could be serious. If he's forced to miss Sunday's game against Pittsburgh, Ben Ellefson would elevate to the team's No. 2 tight end behind Tyler Eifert.
NOVEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Garners one target O'Shaughnessy failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Packers.
Impact The 28-year-old was minimally involved in the passing game Sunday, and he was also called for a holding penalty. O'Shaughenssy should continue to work as Jacksonville's No. 2 tight end behind Tyler Eifert, a role which carries little to no fantasy value.
NOVEMBER 16, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to secondary role O'Shaughnessy caught one of two targets for nine yards during Sunday's loss to the Texans.
Impact The 28-year-old caught all three of his targets for 32 yards during his Week 7 start, but Tyler Eifert (neck) returned as Jacksonville's top tight end after the bye week. O'Shaughnessy played only five fewer offensive snaps, but Eifert was significantly more involved in the passing game with four catches for 48 yards.
NOVEMBER 9, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Three catches in Sunday's start O'Shaughnessy caught all three of his targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 39-29 loss to the Chargers.
Impact The tight end tied Laviska Shenault for second on the team in receptions, as the entire Jaguars' passing game struggled while Gardner Minshew was under consistent pressure. With Jacksonville headed into its bye, O'Shaughnessy could find himself back in a depth role against the Texans in Week 9 if Tyler Eifert (neck) has enough time to get healthy.
OCTOBER 26, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Will start for injured Eifert O'Shaughnessy is slated to start at tight end Sunday against the Chargers with Tyler Eifert (neck) ruled out for the contest, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Impact O'Shaughnessy previously took on the brunt of the work at tight end in Jacksonville's loss to Detroit last week, when Eifert aggravated a neck injury that limited him to just five offensive snaps. Following Eifert's departure, O'Shaughnessy proceeded to play 48 of the Jaguars' 64 offensive snaps (75 percent), but he drew just one target on the day. Another hefty workload likely awaits O'Shaughnessy on Sunday, but he may be relegated primarily to a blocking role.
OCTOBER 23, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Fails to catch lone target O'Shaughnessy failed to catch his only target during Sunday's 34-16 loss to Detroit.
Impact Tyler Eifert (neck) exited early due to injury, but O'Shaughnessy had minimal involvement in the passing game despite playing 75 percent of offensive snaps. Even if Eifert is sidelined for an extended period, O'Shaughnessy may not be a viable fantasy option given his inconsistent work in the passing game.
OCTOBER 19, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Secures three receptions O'Shaughnessy caught all three of his targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 30-14 loss to Houston.
Impact The 28-year-old saw a small bump in playing time with Tyler Eifert (neck) exiting during the fourth quarter, but he still played only 33 offensive snaps to Eifert's 46. O'Shaughnessy has played between 40 percent and 51 percent of offensive snaps while catching 12 of 14 targets for 115 yards through five games this season, which leaves him off the fantasy radar.
OCTOBER 12, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Catches one pass O'Shaughnessy caught one of two targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 33-25 loss to the Bengals.
Impact The 28-year-old had his longest reception of the season in garbage time to help set up a late field goal, but he otherwise was barely involved in the passing game despite playing 35 offensive snaps. Tyler Eifert caught two of six targets for 22 yards on 46 snaps, but he exited during the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a concussion. O'Shaughnessy could have some streaming appeal should Eifert miss any time, though there's hardly any guarantee he'd have a worthwhile role in the aerial attack.
OCTOBER 5, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
More involved Week 2 O'Shaughnessy caught all four of his targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 33-30 loss to the Titans.
Impact The 28-year-old and starter Tyler Eifert combined for only two targets in the season opener, and they mirrored each other's workload again in Week 2 (three catches for 36 yards), though Eifert also had a touchdown. The pair are splitting playing time early on this season, and unless O'Shaughnessy ends up claiming a significantly larger role, he's unlikely to be fantasy relevant.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Sees one target O'Shaughnessy failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 27-20 win over the Colts.
Impact The 28-year-old was listed as the team's No. 1 tight end on the first unofficial depth chart of the season, but Tyler Eifert received the start and outsnapped him 28-20 in the opener. Neither player found much involvement in the passing game, as Eifert caught his only target for eight yards. O'Shaughnessy seems unlikely to find consistent production as the secondary tight end in a Jacksonville aerial attack that hasn't delivered emphasized the position in recent years.
