Still on track for Week 16 start The Giants will have Fromm make his first NFL start Sunday against the Eagles, sources tell Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Impact Head coach Joe Judge wasn't willing to confirm the Giants' plans at quarterback following the team's final practice of the week Friday, but multiple reports heading into the weekend suggested the team would make the change from Mike Glennon -- who started the previous three games -- to Fromm. Schefter also reported Sunday that the Giants intend to bring back Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback for 2022, but if he plays well over the final three games of the regular season, Fromm should get the chance to prove he's worthy of keeping around as a backup option. The former Georgia standout made his NFL debut in relief of a struggling Glennon in last week's loss to Dallas, completing six of 12 attempts for 82 yards.

Impact Judge said Monday that both Fromm and Mike Glennon -- who went 0-3 while starting each of the past three contests -- would both be evaluated in practices Wednesday through Friday before a Week 16 starter was named, but all signs point to the second-year signal-caller out of Georgia directing the offense. According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, Fromm was the first quarterback to take reps at Thursday's practice, which suggests the Giants are ready to give his first extended trial at the NFL level. Fromm made his professional debut in relief of a struggling Glennon in last week's loss to the Cowboys, completing six of 12 attempts for 82 yards. Since Fromm has been with the organization for less than a month, the Giants will presumably simplify the game plan and lean heavily on the ground attack Sunday, so long as the game script allows for it. As such, Fromm likely won't have much appeal outside of fantasy leagues that start two quarterbacks or have a superflex spot.

Though Glennon has started each of the past three games with Jones out of the lineup, he's completed 51 percent of his throws for 4.6 yards per attempt and a 2:5 TD:INT while guiding New York to a 0-3 record. After Glennon was pulled late in the fourth quarter of last weekend's 21-6 loss to the Cowboys, Fromm came on and completed six of 12 attempts for 82 yards. The performance was nothing special, but it may be enough for Fromm to supplant Glennon atop the depth chart.
