Cleared for Week 3 Jones (foot) is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Brooke Evans of the 49ers' official site reports.

Impact Jones sustained a foot injury in the 49ers' Week 2 win over the Dolphins, but the fifth-year pro has been cleared to play in Sunday's NFC West showdown. He's logged three pass defenses and zero tackles through the first two games of the regular season while serving in a rotational role in the secondary.

Questionable with foot injury Jones (foot) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Jones sustained a foot injury in the first half of Sunday's contest. The reserve cornerback is the only active option behind starters Deommodore Lenoir and Renardo Green, meaning that if either goes down, safeties Marques Sigle or Siran Neal will likely be required to operate at outside cornerback.

Cleared on Wednesday Jones (hand) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Impact Jones had been dealing with a hand injury, but will be all set to play in Thursday night's regular season opener against the Rams. The former Raider is set to provide cornerback depth behind Renardo Green (undisclosed) and Deommodore Lenoir.

Questionable with hand Jones (hand) is questionable to return to Thursday's preseason opener against the Titans, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Impact Jones exited the contest in the first quarter with an apparent hand injury. Even if the cornerback is capable of returning to the contest, the team will likely hold him out as a precaution. Jones is competing to take over outside cornerback snaps across from Deommodore Lenoir, but Renardo Green is still currently in possession of the starting job for Week 1.

Lands with 49ers Jones signed a one-year contract with San Francisco on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Impact Jones started all 17 regular-season games for the Dolphins in 2025, in which span he totaled a career-high 77 tackles (49 solo) plus six passes defensed, including one interception, and two forced fumble. Now with the 49ers, Jones could provide Renardo Green with competition for outside cornerback snaps across from Deommodore Lenoir.

Caps career year with four stops Jones made four tackles (two solo) during Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Patriots.

Impact Jones compiled a career-high 77 tackles (49 solo) across 17 regular-season appearances in 2025, plus six passes defensed, including one interception, and two forced fumbles. He's slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but given the tremendous amount of question marks looming for the Dolphins' cornerback corps, both sides could have mutual interest in a reunion.

Career-high 10 tackles in win Jones logged 10 tackles (eight solo) and a pass defense during the Dolphins' 20-17 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Impact Jones recorded double-digit tackles for the first time in his four-year NFL career Sunday, and his eight solo stops were also a career best. He joined the Dolphins on a one-year contract in late July after being released by the Raiders in April, and through 16 regular-season games he has accumulated 73 tackles (47 solo), six pass defenses and two forced fumbles.

Set to suit up Monday Jones (knee) does not have an injury designation for Monday's matchup against Pittsburgh, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.

Impact Jones was limited in practice Friday due to a knee issue but was able to log a full session Saturday. That sets him up to take the field against the Steelers on Monday Night Football. Jones has worked as one of Miami's starting cornerbacks in every game so far this season.

DECEMBER 14, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Limited in practice Friday Jones (knee) was a limited participant in Friday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Jones was a new addition to Friday's injury report, and the cornerback being unable to log full practice participation puts his status for Monday's game in jeopardy. The starter will have one more practice to upgrade back to a full participant and potentially avoid an injury designation for Monday's game. If the 27-year-old is unable to play, Ethan Bonner would likely start the game at outside cornerback.
