Plays in Thursday opener Wohler made three tackles (two solo) over nine defensive snaps during Thursday's preseason opener against the Colts.
Impact Wohler only saw 12 percent of the defensive snaps in Thursday's contest, but made the most of the time. The backup strong safety recorded a tackle on 33 percent of his snaps, finding the ball wherever it was. The 2025 seventh-rounder's performance has likely earned him more reps in next Saturday's preseason showdown with the Falcons.
AUGUST 15 • ROTOWIRE
Now dealing with hamstring issue Wohler has not participated in recent training camp practices due to a hamstring injury, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Impact There's no timeline of return for the 2025 seventh-rounder, who was sidelined for his entire rookie season due to a Lisfranc injury in his foot that he suffered in a preseason game in August of 2025. Given the lack of a recovery timeline, it appears Wohler is unlikely to be available for the Colts' preseason opener against the Patriots on Thursday.

Healthy again Wohler (foot) is healthy for Indianapolis' training camp, Noah Compton of Sports Illustrated reports.
Impact Wohler suffered a foot injury during the preseason last year but is now healthy again. The 23-year-old will spend the remainder of the summer competing for a roster spot and will look to make his regular-season debut during the upcoming campaign.

MAY 8 • HORSESHOEHEROES.COM
Eyeing return for training camp Wohler (foot) said Wednesday he believes he will be healthy when Indianapolis starts training camp in July, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Impact General manager Chris Ballard indicated a couple weeks ago that Wohler was at the end of his rehab process for the Lisfranc injury he suffered during preseason last year, and Wohler echoed those sentiments to reporters Wednesday. The Colts recently added promising safety prospect A.J. Haulcy in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, but they're still otherwise relatively thin at the position behind returning starter Camryn Bynum, so a strong start to training camp could still start Wohler on a trajectory towards earning a depth spot on the 53-man roster for 2026.

Impact Wohler's rookie year was cut well short by a season-ending foot injury he sustained during Week 2 of the preseason, but the hope is that he won't have any limitations when Indianapolis kicks off training camp in July. After the Colts lost starting safety Nick Cross to the Commanders in free agency, they neglected to bring in any big names as replacement, meaning there could be room for Wohler to earn a spot on the 53-man roster this summer.

Wohler got a chance to start that game with Nick Cross (hip) out, and he was projecting as a possible third safety for the Colts before the injury.
