Will play Week 4 Molden (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact Molden missed the Chargers' last two games due to a hamstring injury that he suffered against the Chiefs in Week 1. He drew the questionable tag after an LP-LP-FP practice log, and he's progressed enough in his recovery to make his return in Sunday's road contest. Molden should play a prominent role in the Chargers' secondary alongside Derwin James and Alohi Gilman.

Impact Molden was unable to practice all week due to a hamstring injury likely sustained in the Chargers' Week 1 win against the Chiefs, making it no surprise that he'll be unavailable in Week 2. The Washington product played as one of Los Angeles' top defensive backs in 2024, tallying 75 total tackles and seven passes defended, including three interceptions, over 15 appearances. R.J. Mickens and Kendall Williamson are projected to serve as the Chargers' top reserve safeties with Molden sidelined Monday night.

Impact Molden was unavailable to open training camp while recovering from offseason knee surgery, but he has now been cleared to return to action. The safety played in 15 regular-season games with the Chargers in 2024, recording 75 total tackles (43 solo), while also adding seven passes defensed, including three interceptions, and two fumble recoveries. Begins camp on PUP Molden (knee) was placed on the PUP list to begin training camp Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Molden is recovering from offseason knee surgery, though he has termed himself fully healthy. This move doesn't necessarily contradict that, as he can be brought along slowly to begin training camp but is eligible to be activated at any time during the preseason. Molden logged a season-high 721 defensive snaps in 2024, and he should be in line to compete with Alohi Gilman for playing time at safety.
