INJURIES

Back to practice squad Inman reverted to Washington's practice squad on Monday.
Impact Through 10 games in Washington during the 2020 campaign, Inman caught 18 of his 28 targets for 163 yards and scored two touchdowns. However, the veteran logged just a combined 24 snaps from scrimmage after returning from a hamstring injury Week 12, as he was surpassed on the depth chart by the likes of Cam Sims, Steven Sims and Isaiah Wright.

Buried on bench Inman caught 18 of 28 targets for 163 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games for Washington during the 2020 regular season.
Impact Inman opened the season as the No. 3 receiver and temporarily bumped up to No. 2 after Steven Sims injured his toe. However, Inman then hurt his hamstring Week 7, catching just one pass in three appearances from that point forward. The 31-year-old played a single snap in the playoff loss to Tampa, stuck behind Terry McLaurin, Cam Sims, Steven Sims and Isaiah Wright at wide receiver. Regardless of where he ends up signing, Inman will need to battle for a roster spot in 2021, now five years removed from his 800-yard campaign for the 2016 Chargers.

Washington Elevates WR Dontrelle Inman From Practice Squad The team announced the following roster move Friday.
JANUARY 8, 2021 • WASHINGTONFOOTBALL.COM
Elevated from practice squad Inman was elevated from Washington's practice squad Friday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Inman will provide some extra receiving depth in Saturday's playoff game against the Buccaneers. He caught 18 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season.
JANUARY 8, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Lands on practice squad Inman reverted to Washington's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Impact Inman logged just two snaps on offense in a crucial game against the Eagles on Sunday. The 31-year-old wideout will reside on the practice squad as depth with playoffs on deck.
JANUARY 5, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Promoted to active roster Inman was promoted from Washington's practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Impact Inman has already appeared in nine games for Washington this season, but he had recently been bounced to the practice squad. Fellow wide receiver Terry McLaurin (ankle) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles, so Inman will be available to provide depth.
JANUARY 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Dropped by Washington Inman was waived by Washington on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Inman has been a healthy scratch for each of the past two weeks, and he's attracted a limited workload of 3.1 targets per game over nine appearances on the season. The veteran wideout will now be subject to waivers before Washington has a chance to re-acquire him as a potential member of the practice squad.
DECEMBER 26, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Not suiting up Sunday Inman (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Seahawks, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Impact Inman has failed to get his footing in Washington's offense this year, generating an 18-163-2 line over nine games. He's officially been jumped on the depth chart by the likes of Isaiah Wright, Cam Sims and Robert Foster. He could struggle to get back into the lineup next week as well if Antonio Gandy-Golden (hamstring) is activated from IR.
DECEMBER 20, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive in Week 14 Inman (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 14 contest against the 49ers.
Impact The veteran journeyman played just a combined 21 snaps over the prior two games, seeing one target over that span. Inman now serves as a healthy scratch for the first time this season, as Cam Sims, Steven Sims and Isaiah Wright have all seemingly passed him on the depth chart for the time being.
DECEMBER 13, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
No receptions Monday Inman had no receptions in Monday's win over the Steelers.
Impact Inman only received 10 offensive snaps in the game, a season low for the veteran wideout. It appears as if Steven Sims and Isaiah Wright may have leapfrogged Inman on the depth chart.
DECEMBER 9, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Reels in lone target Inman caught a 15-yard pass on his lone target in Thursday's 41-16 win over the Cowboys.
Impact Inman returned on Thanksgiving Day after sitting out three games with a hamstring injury. The Football Team apparently decided to ease him into action, as he played a season-low 11 snaps on offense, ranking fifth among the team's wide receivers. There wasn't much upside to go around anyway, as Alex Smith recorded just 149 passing yards. Inman will aim to be more of a factor next week against the Steelers.
NOVEMBER 30, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Puts in full practice Inman (hamstring) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.
Impact After taking every rep in practice for the first time since Nov. 4, Inman tentatively looks on track to put an end to a three-game inactive streak this week. Assuming Inman is cleared to play Thanksgiving Day against the Cowboys, he may have to settle for more of a part-time role in Washington's receiver rotation in light of the emergence of Cam Sims. In the three games Inman has missed, Sims has hauled in nine of 11 targets for 184 yards.
NOVEMBER 24, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Logs limited session Inman (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Impact Inman logged a full practice last Friday but ultimately was inactive for Sunday's win over the Bengals. As a result, it's tough to get a grasp on how well Inman has recovered from the hamstring injury that has sidelined him for three games already. No wide receiver has been able to establish himself as the No. 2 behind Terry McLaurin (ankle) this year, so Inman will have an opportunity to do so if he's able to play Thursday against a banged-up Cowboys secondary.
NOVEMBER 23, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Missing third straight game Inman (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bengals, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Though Inman concluded the week as a full practice participant, Washington apparently wants to see the receiver log some more on-field work before clearing him for game action. He'll be sidelined for a third straight game Sunday, paving the way for both Cam Sims and Steven Sims to handle regular roles in three-receiver sets alongside top target Terry McLaurin.
NOVEMBER 22, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Unlikely for Week 11 Inman (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, isn't expected to play, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Inman's status won't be locked in until Washington releases its inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, but the 31-year-old looks poised to miss his third straight game. His continued absence should continue to open up a regular spot for Cam Sims in three-wide sets alongside Terry McLaurin and Steven Sims.
NOVEMBER 22, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Could return Sunday Inman (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, after he returned to practice Friday as a full participant, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio rep...
Impact Inman jumped straight from non-participant to full participant on Washington's official practice report, but John Keim of ESPN.com reports that the veteran wideout did some position drills Thursday. It isn't clear Inman will have a starting job or even a major role if he suits up for the first time since Week 7, as the team now has Cam Sims and Steven Sims contributing to its offense behind Terry McLaurin.
NOVEMBER 20, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Another DNP on Thursday Inman (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Thursday's practice report, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.
Impact Inman has been sidelined for two games due to a hamstring injury, but the wide receiver seemed to take an appreciable step in his recovery Thursday, According to John Keim of ESPN.com, Inman participated in some drills with his fellow wide receivers. Still, Inman was given a DNP next to his name, so there's no telling whether he's drawing closer to a return.
NOVEMBER 19, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
No practice reps Wednesday Inman (hamstring) didn't take part in Wednesday's walk-through practice, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Prior to sitting out a Week 9 loss to the Giants, Inman didn't practice in the final two sessions. Meanwhile, he followed up no reps last Wednesday with back-to-back limited showings before he was ruled out for Week 10. Consequently, there's no real sense of when Inman may be able to return to action. He may have to progress to full activity by week's end in order to suit up Sunday against the Bengals.
NOVEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Out this week Inman (hamstring) will not play Sunday in Detroit, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.
Impact Cam Sims filled in for Inman the past two weeks, catching four of five targets for 132 yards while playing 88 and 74 percent of snaps on offense. It's possible Sims keeps the job even after Inman recovers from his hamstring injury, as the 24-year-old's eight targets have produced more yardage (171) than the 31-year-old's 27 targets (148) this season.
NOVEMBER 13, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Progresses to limited participation Inman (hamstring) was limited at Thursday's practice, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Impact Making his presence felt on the practice field for the first time since Week 7 prep, Inman is putting himself into a position to play for the first time since then as he recovers from a hamstring injury. Ultimately, Friday's practice report will give a sense of his ability to suit up Sunday in Detroit.
NOVEMBER 12, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
No go Wednesday Inman (hamstring) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Despite having a Week 8 bye to heal, Inman didn't practice at all last week before being deemed inactive ahead of Washington's loss to the Giants. Now that he's remained a non-participant to begin Week 10, he may not be a candidate to play for Washington until he makes an appearance on the practice field. On top of that, with Steven Sims back in the lineup, Washington may take its time with Inman before clearing him for action.
NOVEMBER 11, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Can't go Week 9, as expected Inman (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Giants.
Impact Inman played a season-low 20 offensive snaps Oct. 25 against Dallas, and he was a non-participant throughout the practice week heading into Sunday afternoon's matchup versus New York. Steven Sims, who was just activated off injured reserve, fits in as Washington's No. 2 wide receiver option behind Terry McLaurin now that it's confirmed Inman will be unable to go against the Giants.
NOVEMBER 8, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Doubtful to face Giants Inman (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Held out of practice throughout the week, Inman doesn't appear to have much chance of playing. Meanwhile, Washington hopes to get Steven Sims (foot) back from injured reserve, though no transaction has been confirmed yet. If Sims and Inman both are unavailable, the team could look to Cam Sims alongside Terry McLaurin and Isaiah Wright in three-wide formations. Per usual, McLaurin is the only reliable fantasy option of the bunch.
NOVEMBER 6, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
DNP on Thursday Inman (hamstring) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Inman previously has had his practice reps managed this season due to wrist and foot injuries, so his absence Thursday may be maintenance-related. Still, his status should be watched to see if a DNP is possible Sunday against the Giants. Steven Sims (toe) is inching toward a return to action, and if he's activated from IR before Washington's upcoming game, Inman will be pushed down the depth chart.
NOVEMBER 5, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Blanked by Dallas Inman wasn't targeted in Sunday's 25-3 win over the Cowboys.
Impact Inman played 20 of 69 offensive snaps (29 percent), but he still ranked third among Washington's wide receivers in snap share behind Terry McLaurin and Cam Sims. Getting jumped by Sims is noteworthy because he started the 2020 season on Washington's practice squad, but Sims didn't do much with his opportunities, either, catching just one pass for 22 yards. Washington has a bye week coming up and will return to action Week 9 against the Giants.
