Signs with Tamp Bay's practice squad The Buccaneers signed Patterson to the practice squad Monday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

Impact The Buccaneers waived Patterson during Sunday's cutdown day. The undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech cleared waivers and promptly re-signed with the team that took a shot on him in late May. Patterson participated in all three preseason games, catching 13 passes for 72 yards.

Waived by Tampa Patterson was waived by the Buccaneers on Sunday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

Impact The wide receiver and local kid from Steinbrenner High School signed with Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech in May, caught six passes for 56 yards during a preseason game against Kansas City and generally impressed with his route-running ability. Tampa just has a deep receiver room led by Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan. Patterson will likely join the Bucs' practice squad unless he's claimed by another team, per Auman.

Impact Patterson played four years at Florida International before transferring to Georgia Tech for the 2025 season. The wide receiver accumulated 150 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions over 13 games in 2025. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder impressed enough at the team's rookie mini-camp last week to earn a spot on the roster headed into training camp.
