Won't play Thursday Hill (hamstring) will not play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Lions, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Hill recently sustained a hamstring injury that has caused him to be sidelined for training camp practices, and he'll aim to be available for the Bengals' second preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 22 against the Bears. Tacario Davis, Josh Newton and Ja'Sir Taylor will all have the opportunity to operate in expanded roles in the secondary for as long as Hill is out of action.
