Staying in Green Bay The Packers signed Martinez to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Impact Martinez joined Green Bay's practice squad late last December and is now set to remain with the team for the start of the offseason. The 21-year-old was selected in the seventh round of last year's draft by Seattle before being waived in August, and he'll look to earn a spot on the Packers' final roster for the 2026 campaign.

Impact With MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) on injured reserve, it seems the Packers would like to bolster their running back room before the upcoming playoff run. The rookie seventh-rounder was waived from the Seahawks at the end of the pre-season and has not yet started in an NFL game. Lloyd is a likely candidate for elevation if Josh Jacobs, Emmanuel Wilson or Chris Brooks were to suffer an injury in the coming weeks.

If one of Holani, Kenneth Walker or Zach Charbonnet gets injured, either Martinez or Jacardia Wright will likely be called up.
