Plays well in high-scoring loss
Kupp caught nine of 10 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-32 loss to Buffalo.
Impact
Kupp caught a 16-yard touchdown during Los Angeles' run of 29 unanswered points after falling behind 28-3. Unfortunately for the Rams, Buffalo responded with a game-winning touchdown drive aided by a controversial pass interference penalty to hand Los Angeles its first loss of the season. The slot receiver has totaled triple-digit scrimmage yards in consecutive games, and Kupp will have a great opportunity to stretch that streak to three in Week 4 against the Giants.

Goes for 100 yards in win
Kupp brought in five of six targets for 81 yards, adding two carries for 19 yards in the Rams' 37-19 win over the Eagles on Sunday.
Impact
Kupp improved on his 40-yard performance from Week 1, going for 100 total yards and leading the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards in the process. He still hasn't found the end zone in 2020, but Kupp should continue to see a healthy amount of targets moving forward as one of the top options in the Rams' passing attack. His upside may be diminished compared to 2019, as Jared Goff is on pace for far fewer than the 626 passes he attempted a year ago.

Rams' new defense gets off to strong start in beating Dallas
The Los Angeles Rams saw some encouraging early returns from Sean McVay’s offseason decision to make systemic changes to what was already a pretty good defense

Quiet 2020 debut
Kupp had four catches (five targets) for 40 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Cowboys.
Impact
Fresh off of a three-year, $48 million extension, Kupp was unable to produce numbers indicative of his huge bump in salary. The 27-year-old's lack of production was due in large part to a run-heavy gameplan (40 carries to just 20 pass attempts) that focused on attacking the soft interior of Dallas' defense. The strategy paid off for the Rams, but Kupp owners in fantasy were left with a lackluster final line. There is no reason to overreact, as Kupp remains one of Jared Goff's top receiving options and red-zone threats, and he should be in line for more targets than usual with Brandin Cooks being moved to Houston this offseason. Expect the slot extraordinaire to excel in most matchups going forward where the opposition doesn't boast a top-tier pass rush -- like Dallas brought to the table Sunday -- starting with a Week 2 matchup against the Eagles.

Locks in $48 million extension
Kupp signed a three-year, $48 million extension with the Rams on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact
Kupp made significant movement on a possible contract extension earlier this week after the team had finalized a deal with cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The 27-year-old becomes the first of a deep 2017 wide receiver class to receive an extension with Saturday's news likely setting the mark for players such as Chris Godwin, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kenny Golladay and their respective upcoming deals.

Back at practice
Kupp (leg) returned to practice Thursday, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Coach Sean Mcvay said Kupp "was full speed" at Thursday's practice session, and he also clarified that Kupp's leg issue was related to soreness. . The 27-year-old looks on track for Sept. 13's season-opener against the Cowboys, provided he can avoid any setbacks.

Should be fine for Week 1
Kupp is dealing with a "muscle strain on the side of the lower part of his leg right above the foot," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact
There was previous speculation that Kupp had an ankle sprain, but that report was refuted by coach Sean McVay, who relayed that the wideout had some soreness in his leg. Rapoport's report adds a bit of context to that, but more importantly notes that Kupp should be fine for the Rams' season opener.
