Ruled out for Week 7
Ford (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's divisional contest against the Jets.
Impact
Ford sat out practice all week before being officially ruled out to suit up in New York. Coach Sean McDermott has called Ford "week-to-week," so it doesn't look like a return against the Patriots on Nov. 1 is necessarily guaranteed either. With Quinton Spain having been released Wednesday, both Ike Boettger and Daryl Williams look set to start at offensive guard versus the Jets.

Misses practice again
Ford, who suffered a knee injury in Monday's loss to the Chiefs, was unable to practice Thursday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Impact
Coach Sean McDermott put Ford in the "week-to-week" category with a group of teammates earlier this week, so it's starting to seem unlikely the second-year player will resume his starting spot on the offensive line this week against the Jets. The team also released starter Quinton Spain on Wednesday, so some line reshuffling is in the works.

Question mark for Tuesday
Ford (groin) was a limited participant for Saturday's walkthrough practice and is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game in Tennessee, the Bills official site reports.
Impact
Ford can start at guard or tackle, but the Bills are deep enough that they have other options to take Ford's place if needed. However, if Brian Winters (knee, questionable) has to sit, Ford's status takes on more import.

Option to start at guard
Ford will get work at both right guard and right tackle during the first part of training camp, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Impact
The Bills picked Ford early in the second round of the 2019 Draft, but he was used mostly as a right tackle in his rookie season, sharing time with veteran Ty Nsekhe. With normal starting right guard Jon Feliciano likely to miss the start of the season with a torn pectoral though, the team seems to be at least considering kicking Ford over to fill that void. Incoming free agents Brian Winters, Daryl Williams and Evan Boehm are also options at right guard should the Bills want to stick with Ford at right tackle.

Healthy for 2020
Ford, who had offseason surgery on his right shoulder, will be ready to go by training camp, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Impact
The Bills' offensive line returns all starters, though last year when all guys were healthy Ford worked in a strict -- and perhaps somewhat unusual -- timeshare with veteran Ty Nsekhe. That battle will continue throughout camp, and while Ford -- a second-rounder in 2019 -- has the upside, Nsekhe has performed well and it's no guarantee the team just hands the job to Ford full-time simply because he's gaining more experience.
