Moves to IR New England placed Hines (undisclosed) on injured reserve Saturday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Hines started his rookie campaign on the non-football injury list due to an undisclosed issue he suffered while playing for LSU. He passed a physical at the beginning of August and returned to practices, but he never appeared in a game and will now be sidelined for at least four additional contests.

Impact Hines missed the final five games of his LSU career due to injury and remained sidelined during New England's offseason program before ultimately landing on the NFI list ahead of training camp. However, now healthy, the rookie sixth-round pick will look to carve out a role along the Patriots' offensive line ahead of the initial 53-man roster deadline.
