Struggles in loss to Washington
Wentz completed 24 of 42 pass attempts for 270 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 27-17 loss to Washington. He also lost a fumble.
Impact
Wentz started strong in this one, throwing a touchdown pass to Zach Ertz on the opening drive and adding another to Dallas Goedert to put his side up 17-0 in the second quarter. He struggled from that point on, however, as the ferocious Washington pass rush resulted in eight sacks and three turnovers to turn the game on its head in the second half. Wentz has struggled in the face of pressure during his NFL career, and he could be in for more of the same this season if a patchwork offensive line can't rise to the occasion. With that said, another tough task could be in store next Sunday against the Eagles.

Back to full participation
Coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Wentz (groin) has resumed practicing in full, Daniel Gallen of The Harrisburg Patriot-News reports.
Impact
Per Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com, Wentz sat out recent practices due to a tight groin, but he's ramping up his activity level in advance of a Week 1 game at Washington. Meanwhile, the O-line is front of him has been reshuffled due to season-ending injuries to LT Andre Dillard and RG Brandon Brooks, who have been replaced by Jason Peters and a player to be named later, respectively. The Eagles' skill positions also are banged up, with Miles Sanders (lower body), Jalen Reagor (upper body) and Alshon Jeffery (foot) all in various stages of recovery. At the very least, though, Wentz is back and working with what's available to him as the team prepares for the season opener.

Injury isn't 'major'
Coach Doug Pederson called Wentz's lower-body issue "nothing major," Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Impact
Wentz has been sitting out since Sunday with what is termed a minor soft-tissue injury. The Eagles deem him day-to-day, and Pederson even added Tuesday that it's a "good week" for Wentz to rest, as he typically wouldn't suit up during preseason Week 4 under normal circumstances. The caution makes sense considering Wentz has suffered numerous serious injuries throughout his four-year career. On top of that, his starting left tackle (Andre Dillard) and starting right guard (Brandon Brooks) have suffered season-ending injuries themselves. With a banged-up receiving corps to boot, the Eagles offense may not be running on all cylinders Week 1.

Considered day-to-day
Wentz is considered day-to-day with a soft-tissue injury in his lower body, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Impact
The Eagles have been cautious with minor injuries all summer, regularly holding players out of practice. However, they haven't been able to avoid the more serious issues, with starting LT Andre Dillard (biceps) and starting RG Brandon Brooks (Achilles) both set to miss the entire season. In any case, Wentz has a worrisome medical history of his own, but initial reports suggest the current issue shouldn't threaten his availability for Week 1 at Washington. Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports that Wentz is on the field with his teammates observing Sunday's practice session.
