Cam Grandy - NFL News, Rumors, & Updates

Back with Cincinnati The Bengals signed Grandy off the Vikings' practice squad Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Impact Grandy, of course, spent the previous two seasons with Cincinnati prior to being apart of final cuts this past summer. With Tanner Hudson (pectoral) done for the season and Erick All going down with a knee injury Sunday against the Ravens, Grandy gives the Bengals another reliable tight end behind Mike Gesicki and Drew Sample.

Signs with Minnesota practice squad The Vikings signed Grandy to the practice squad Tuesday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.

Impact The Bengals waived Grandy during Sunday's cutdown day. The tight end cleared waivers and has found a new home in Minnesota. The 26-year-old participated in all three preseason games for the Bengals but was unable to catch his sole target.

Signs extension with Cincinnati Grandy (chest) and the Bengals agreed on a one-year contract extension Monday.

Impact Grandy appeared in five contests during the regular season, catching both of his targets for seven yards while playing 28 snaps on offense. With Mike Gesicki and Drew Sample both under contract for 2026, Grandy will compete to operate as the team's No. 3 option at tight end next season.

Inactive for season finale Grandy (chest) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Impact After not practicing Wednesday or Thursday, Grandy logged a full session Friday and was listed as questionable. However, that wasn't enough to be cleared for game action, and he'll miss a second consecutive contest to end the campaign. The undrafted tight end will finish his second NFL season with two receptions for seven yards across 28 offensive snaps.

Questionable for Sunday Grandy (chest) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns.

Impact Grandy was able to upgrade to a full participant in Friday's practice after missing consecutive sessions earlier in the week. The upgrade in participation is a great sign for the tight end's chances of suiting up for Sunday's contest as a reserve option behind Mike Gesicki, Noah Fant, Drew Sample and Tanner Hudson.

Doesn't practice Wednesday Grandy (chest) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

Impact Grandy has been unable to practice or play since sustaining a chest injury during the Bengals' Week 16 win over the Dolphins. He'll likely have to return to practice in at least a limited capacity over the next two days to have a realistic chance of playing in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Browns.

Out for Sunday Grandy (chest) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Impact The 26-year-old didn't practice all week after sustaining a chest injury in the Week 16 win over the Dolphins, so it's no surprise that he'll be sidelined Sunday. While Grandy is out for Week 17, expect Cincinnati's tight-end room to consist of Mike Gesicki, Noah Fant (ankle, questionable), Drew Sample and Tanner Hudson.

DNP with chest issue Grandy (chest) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

Impact Grandy left the second half of last Sunday's win over the Dolphins due to an injury to his left collarbone. The tight end will have two more chances to attempt to upgrade his practice participation to attempt to dodge an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals. If Grandy cannot upgrade his participation, he will likely be ruled out ahead of Sunday's game.

Impact Grandy will hit the inactive list for the fifth time in eight games while the Bengals keep three tight ends active ahead of him for Sunday's contest. Over his three appearances this season, Grandy has recorded a six-yard reception on his lone target.

Small late-season contributions Grandy caught one pass for nine yards in the season finale against the Steelers, giving him five catches on the season.

Goes without target in Week 14 Grandy played 17 of the Bengals' 71 snaps on offense and went without a target in Monday's 27-20 win over the Cowboys.

Impact One of four tight ends active for Cincinnati, Grandy finished third in the group in playing time, ahead of Tanner Hudson (14 snaps) but behind Drew Sample (49) and Mike Gesicki (20). Grandy has drawn just one target across his 29 offensive snaps over his four games this season and will likely continue to have a muted role if all of Sample, Gesicki and Hudson stay healthy.

Impact Grandy made his first appearance of the season in Cincinnati's Week 10 loss to the Ravens, catching his lone target for no yards across 10 total snaps (four offensive and six on special teams). The Bengals now have five tight ends on their active roster following Grandy's signing Friday. He's expected to serve as a depth piece while also likely contributing on special teams in Cincinnati's Week 11 matchup against the Chargers.

Will play vs. Ravens Grandy is active for Thursday night's game against Baltimore.

Impact Grandy signed with the Bengals in May as an undrafted free agent, and he was signed to the practice squad after he was unable to make the 53-man roster after training camp. Grandy was elevated from the practice squad, and he'll make his NFL regular-season debut serving as the Bengals' No. 4 tight end behind Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample and Tanner Hudson.
