Impact If he clears waivers, Brewer will become an unrestricted free agent. The rookie UDFA from Texas has three preseason receptions to his name after the Seahawks' 27-11 win vs. Chicago on Thursday, but he'll now have to look for another opportunity elsewhere.

Inks deal with Seattle The Seahawks signed Brewer as an undrafted free agent Friday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.

Impact Brewer caught 22 passes for 184 yards and three touchdowns during his final campaign at Texas. The 6-foot-4 tight end will likely compete with John Mitchell, who was also signed as an undrafted free agent.
