Impact Pierre signed a reserve/future contract with Carolina in January but was waived with an injury designation in mid-May. He subsequently reverted to IR, putting him in line to miss the entire season. However, since Pierre and the Panthers have reached an injury settlement, the tight end can join another organization once he's healthy.

Impact Pierre spent the offseason with the Panthers, and the undrafted rookie out of UCLA would be a reasonable candidate to resurface on the practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers. In his final collegiate season, Pierre suited up for 10 games and logged 10 catches for 94 yards (no touchdowns).

Coming to Carolina Pierre is slated to sign with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Impact At UCLA last season, the tight end caught 11 passes for 94 yards and no touchdowns in 10 games. Pierre only started six collegiate games over the past three seasons at UCLA and Arizona State. Carolina's top two tight ends from last year, Tommy Tremble and Ja'Tavion Sanders, appear to be in line to hold those spots again as offseason activities approach, but Pierre could compete for a spot behind them.
