GAME LOG

INJURIES

Can't find end zone again Sunday Lance reeled in all two targets for 12 yards during Sunday's 16-10 loss to Pittsburgh.
Impact Lance had two catches for the second consecutive game, though unlike the Week 6 win over the Giants, he didn't find the end zone. The 24-year-old has logged 332 offensive snaps this season, third in the receiving corps behind Chris Olave (387) and Devaughn Vele (438). However, despite being on the field more often than most of the other wideouts on the roster, Lance hasn't been productive throughout his rookie campaign.

Catches first career TD in Week 6 win Lance caught two of four passes for nine yards and a touchdown during the Saints' 34-27 win over the Giants on Sunday.
Impact Lance's four targets were tied with Alvin Kamara for third-most on the Saints behind Chris Olave (seven) and Devaughn Vele (six), with quarterback Tyler Shough completing only 16 of 30 passes. Both of Lance's catches came in the second quarter, the second of which was a two-yard touchdown pass that tied the game up at 10-10 with five seconds left in the first half. Lance's 36 offensive snaps were third-most among New Orleans wide receivers, but his time as the team's WR3 could come to an end as soon as Week 7 against the Steelers on Oct. 25, given that rookie first-rounder Jordyn Tyson (hamstring, IR) is traveling with the team to Paris, per NewOrleans.football.

Vikings defense remains dominant in New Orleans as Minnesota improves to 5-0

Does little with five targets Lance turned five targets into a seven-yard catch during the Saints' 45-24 loss to the Falcons on Monday.
Impact Lance finished fifth on the Saints in targets from quarterback Tyler Shough, though each of the four misses between the duo came on deep passes. After catching three of four targets for 42 yards in his NFL debut against the Lions in Week 1, Lance has just two catches (on nine targets) for 15 yards over his last three games. He'll continue to operate as the Saints' WR3 behind Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele, though Lance's playing time will take a significant hit once fellow rookie Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) is cleared to return from injured reserve, though Adam notes that Week 7 against the Steelers is the earliest targeted return for Tyson. The Saints will stay at home for Week 5 against the Vikings and their aggressive defense.
OCTOBER 7 • ROTOWIRE
Logs just one catch in Week 2 win Lance caught his only target for eight yards in Sunday's 24-17 victory against Baltimore.
Impact Lance was on the field for 54 of New Orleans' 68 offensive snaps, but he had only one pass thrown his way by Tyler Shough. Chris Olave (10 targets) and Devaughn Vele (seven) got 17 of the Saints' 19 total wideout targets, so Lance wasn't alone among the team's complementary WR options who had a quiet day. Barion Brown logged just two offensive snaps Sunday and Kevin Austin notched five, so Lance seems to be clearly ahead of both in the pecking order.
SEPTEMBER 23 • ROTOWIRE
Catches three passes in Week 1 Lance caught three of four targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 31-30 loss to the Lions in overtime.
Impact With Jordy Tyson (hamstring) on injured reserve and Chris Olave in and out of the game multiple times Sunday, Lance played 62 of 90 offensive snaps against Detroit. He ran 45 routes on Tyler Slough's 63 dropbacks and looks like the clear WR3 for New Orleans while Tyson recovers from a severe hamstring strain. Lance is deep down the list for opportunities and touches behind Olave, Juwan Johnson, Travis Etienne and Devaughn Vele, giving him minimal fantasy appeal outside of dynasty formats.

Outplayed by Brown again Lance caught two of four targets for 28 yards in Friday's 27-24 preseason win over the Cowboys.
Impact Lance was drafted in the fourth round out of North Dakota State, but he has been outperformed by sixth-round pick Barion Brown throughout training camp and the preseason. Brown upstaged Lance again Friday by scoring a seven-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Both rookie Day 3 picks have a chance to contribute out of the gate, as rookie first-round pick Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) is expected to miss about two months, leaving Lance, Brown and Devaughn Vele as the top options behind Chris Olave.
AUGUST 29 • ROTOWIRE
Tallies two catches in preseason debut Lance caught both of his targets for 16 yards during the Saints' 34-0 preseason loss to the Rams on Saturday.
Impact Lance missed the Saints' preseason opener against the Jaguars due to an undisclosed injury, but he was cleared to play against Los Angeles. Several Saints starters, including wide receivers Chris Olave, Devaughn Vele and rookie first-rounder Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) were idle for Saturday's exhibition contest, so Lance joined Bub Means and Kevin Austin as the starters at wide receiver. Lance didn't get off to a great start with a holding penalty late in the first quarter, but he did haul in a nice 12-yard pass from Zach Wilson on the final play of the frame. Lance worked with the Saints' first-team offense earlier in the week during joint practice with the Cowboys, and the North Dakota State product could be the team's WR3 behind Olave and Vele for the first few games of the regular season, considering Tyson is expected to miss several weeks due to his hamstring injury. The Saints will wrap up the preseason this Friday against the Cowboys in Dallas.

Sees reps with starters Tuesday Lance (undisclosed) returned to practice Tuesday and worked with the first-team offense in New Orleans' joint practice with Dallas, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Impact With Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) out several weeks and Devaughn Vele receiving a rest day Tuesday, the rookie Lance worked opposite Chris Olave as the Saints' WR2. While Vele is the favorite to open the regular season as the second wideout, Lance has a pretty clear path to early-season playing time while Tyson is sidelined. At 6-foot-3 and 204 pounds with 4.34 speed, Lance is a size-speed prospect who produced back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons at North Dakota State before being selected in the fourth round of the 2026 Draft by New Orleans.

Impact According to coach Kellen Moore, Lance was available to play in an emergency situation, so it doesn't sound like he's dealing with a serious injury. The rookie wideout is slated to jockey for positioning in the Saints' WR pecking order, and he could see his role increase in importance in the scenario that fellow rookie wideout Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) needs to miss time early in the regular season.
